Be part of the journey.\nRole Overview and Responsibilities\nTT Electronics, Bedlington, is hiring a detail-oriented and driven Metrology Specialist (Microelectronics) to join our manufacturing engineering team. In this role, you’ll be the technical lead for advanced inspection and measurement systems, ensuring our manufacturing processes maintain the highest standards of precision, quality, and repeatability.\nKey Responsibilities Include:\nManaging the end-to-end lifecycle of new inspection and measurement equipment from cleanroom integration to final sign-off.\nDeveloping and executing rigorous qualification protocols.\nEstablishing baseline capabilities and system analysis to ensure reliability.\nLeading projects related to automated data collection, SPC, real-time monitoring, and machine-to-machine (M2M) communication.\nCollaborating with IT and engineering teams to integrate metrology data for predictive maintenance.\nAuthoring, reviewing, and maintaining comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nMaintaining strict version control for measurement recipes, calibration master files, and audit-readiness documentation.\nDesigning and delivering structured training programs and certifications for all equipment users.\nServing as the subject matter expert (SME) for root-cause analysis.\nQualifications, Skills and Attributes\nWhat We Look For:\nA bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Industrial, or a related technical discipline.\nHands-on experience in a metrology, quality, or process engineering role.\nA proven track record of managing equipment installation.\nFamiliarity with advanced metrology and non-destructive testing (NDT) tools.\nExcellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.\nStrong project management capabilities.\nThe following would enhance your application but are not essential to apply:\nExperience with automation scripts, Python, or database querying.\nMicroelectronics assembly, semiconductor packaging, or high-precision manufacturing experience. \nWhat We Offer You:\nFrom this role you will have the opportunity to develop the experience needed to explore and progress to more senior leadership roles within TT Electronics Bedlington, or the wider group, if this is in your own career plan.\nCompetitive Salary\nEnhanced pension contributions\nHealthcare cashback plan\nEmployee assistance programme\nSite incentive plan\nFinancial wellbeing benefit\nDiscounted online and high street shopping and lifestyle vouchers\nCycle to Work Scheme\nDiscounted RAC membership\nDiscounted Gym membership\n5 weeks (in hours) annual leave plus bank holidays\nA supportive and friendly working environment with a focus on wellbeing and sustainability\nTT Electronics are committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and actively encourage applications from under-represented groups.\nPlease be aware that many roles at TT Electronics are subject to both security and export control restrictions which means that limitations relating to nationality may apply.
