Be part of the journey.\nRole Overview and Responsibilities\nIntroduction\nWe have a vacancy for Process Engineer to join the Engineering team.\nThis is a broad and varied role encompassing the development of new processes for new products, improving established process to maximise production efficiency, supporting manufacture as the new products transition to volume production and will be involved in a wide range of projects focused spanning the full life cycle.\nA sample of the key responsibilities:\nReporting into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, key duties and responsibilities include:\nDay to day support of production, troubleshooting issues with manufacturing equipment in a timely manner\nDeveloping and optimising processes in the manufacture of microelectronics products\nCommissioning and qualifying new manufacturing equipment\nProducing technical documentation, such operating instructions, inspection standards and PFMEAs\nSupporting the transition of products from NPI to production\nProvide training and support to other production operators\nPro-actively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and support continuous improvement activities\nGain and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and equipment\nLiaising with customers and suppliers\nEnsure safe working practices are adopted and health and safety legislation are adhered to when implementing new products, materials processes, or equipment.\nOn occasion, this role may require visits to customers or suppliers and may also involve foreign travel.\nQualifications, Skills and Attributes\nWhat we are looking for:\nDegree/HNC in an Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent experience\nSound knowledge of engineering principles and concepts; Lean, 8D, Design of experiments\nExcellent interpersonal skills.\nAbility to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.\nDemonstrated organisational, planning and program skills with careful attention to detail.\nWork well within a team\nHave a strong technical bias, with strong problem-solving abilities.\nWork well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.\nA good level of competence with MS Office applications for documentation and presenting reports.\nThe following would enhance your application but are not essential to apply:\nFamiliarity with electronics & mechanical CAD design\nAwareness of manufacturing hybrid circuits and multi chip modules (chip and wire assembly)\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing tools and statistical process techniques\nFamiliarity with Mil standard and design for high reliability environments\nWhat We Offer You:\nFrom this role you will have the opportunity to develop the experience needed to explore and progress to more senior roles within TT Electronics Bedlington, or the wider group, if this is in your own career plan.\nCompetitive Salary\nEnhanced pension contributions\nHealthcare cashback plan\nEmployee assistance programme\nSite incentive plan\nFinancial wellbeing benefit\nDiscounted online and high street shopping and lifestyle vouchers\nCycle to Work Scheme\nDiscounted RAC membership\nDiscounted Gym membership\n5 weeks (in hours) annual leave plus bank holidays\nA supportive and friendly working environment with a focus on wellbeing and sustainability\nTT Electronics are committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and actively encourage applications from under-represented groups.\nPlease be aware that many roles at TT Electronics are subject to both security and export control restrictions which means that limitations relating to nationality may apply.
