Be part of the journey.\nRole Overview and Responsibilities\nIntroduction\nTo develop new processes for new products, improve existing process to maximise production efficiency and support the manufacture of volume product lines.\nReporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader this is a broad and varied role.\nKey Responsibilities\nGain and maintain detailed knowledge of the production process and equipment\nParticipate in the introduction of new parts including equipment, tool and procedures\nProactively identify opportunities to improve yield or manufacturing efficiency and to instigate and lead continuous improvement activities\nContribute to technical and gate reviews\nAssist or lead internal audits, where required\nResponding to line stops, taking the required actions to restart production in a timely manner.\nUpdate and maintain manufacturing documentation, including operator instructions, inspection standards, etc\nDefine new or replacement equipment requirements.\nCommissioning and validation of new equipment.\nDefine and validate new material as a result of either obsolescence, an improvement activity and new product.\nAssist in 8D investigations for either external or internal non-conformity.\nQualifications, Skills and Attributes\nCore Requirements\nDegree/HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience\nA strong interest in mechanical, electronic or production engineering.Computer literate\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills.\nAbility to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.\nDemonstrated organisational, planning and program skills with careful attention to detail.\nBe a good Team Player.\nKeen to learn new skills.\nHave a strong technical bias.\nWork well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.\nDesirable Skills and Experience\nExperience in manufacturing resistors, print/ fire/Laser/ deposition/plating\nLean principles and concepts as well as experience/knowledge of how to apply.\nCAD experience/knowledge.\nKnowledge of Python would be an advantage\nWhat We Offer You:\nFrom this role you will have the opportunity to develop the experience needed to explore and progress to more senior leadership roles within TT Electronics Bedlington, or the wider group, if this is in your own career plan.\nCompetitive Salary\nEnhanced pension contributions\nHealthcare cashback plan\nEmployee assistance programme\nSite incentive plan\nFinancial wellbeing benefit\nDiscounted online and high street shopping and lifestyle vouchers\nCycle to Work Scheme\nDiscounted RAC membership\nDiscounted Gym membership\n5 weeks (in hours) annual leave plus bank holidays\nA supportive and friendly working environment with a focus on wellbeing and sustainability\nTT Electronics are committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and actively encourage applications from under-represented groups.\nOur Recruitment Process:\nInitially we will reach out to you for an informal conversation about the role.
