Be part of the journey.\nRole Overview and Responsibilities\nAt TT Electronics, Abercynon, we're hiring for a Quality Engineer to join our Quality team based at our site in Abercynon, South Wales.\nThe purpose of the Quality Engineer role is to support the manufacturing teams in the creation of robust processes including the generation of Control Plans, measurement standards and the root cause analysis of non-conformances.\nKey Responsibilities Include:\nWorking with the manufacturing teams to ensure that processes have robust quality controls, PFMEA, documented control plans and identify any opportunities for improvement. \nMonitoring of performance trends in Connector Assembly and providing information with regards to scrap, MRB status and feedback on the status of any customer/supplier concerns identified. \nAttending daily & weekly meetings and supporting improvement initiatives and root cause analysis activities. \nDealing with customer queries/complaints for Connector Assembly manufacturing areas. \nParticipating in 8D review meetings, co-ordinating customer feedback and supporting the implementation of improvement actions. \nMonitoring and supporting the implementation of containment for parts and corrective actions and reporting any issues regarding the timely closing out of such actions. \nConducting product, process and system audits as required. \nPrepping/scheduling and conducting first article inspection for all manufacturing products. \nSupporting the continued development of the Quality Management System. \nSupporting the sharing of best practice and expertise in Quality principles across all departments.\nQualifications, Skills and Attributes\nWhat We Look for:\nPrevious experience as a Quality Technician or similar relevant function within a fast moving manufacturing environment. \nAn understanding of quality management tools with respect to the effective application of tools such as 8D/RCA, Poka-Yoke, control plans and PFMEA.\nThe ability to identify potential quality improvement activities. \nThe ability to read engineering drawings. \nThe ability to prioritise activities based on understanding business needs. \nThe ability to work in a structured and methodical way. \nThe ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all points of contact both internally and externally.\nAn understanding of the requirements of a robust manufacturing quality management system. \nThe ability to understand product requirements and defining effective measurement systems.\nComputer literate including the analysis of data in spreadsheets and databases and the generation of reports and presentations.\nExperience in conducting system and process audits. \nThe following would enhance your application but is not essential to apply:\nPrevious experience within a Quality Engineering role.\nWorking knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standard and its effective implementation.\nUnderstanding/experience of implementing lean principles within a quality environment. \nPrevious experience of the Q Pulse quality tool database system.\nWhat we offer\nEnhanced pension contributions\nHealthcare cashback plan\nEmployee assistance programme\nFree Fruit Tuesdays \nSharesave\nSite incentive plan\nFinancial wellbeing benefit\nDiscounted online and high street shopping and lifestyle vouchers\nCycle to Work Scheme\nDiscounted RAC membership\nDiscounted Gym membership \nSpecsavers vouchers\n183.75 hours annual leave plus bank holidays\nA supportive and friendly working environment with a focus on wellbeing and sustainability\nTT Electronics are committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and actively encourage applications from under-represented groups.\nOur Recruitment Process\nFormal Interviews will be held on site and include a tour of the facility.\nPlease be aware that many roles at TT Electronics are subject to both security and export control restrictions which means that limitations relating to nationality may apply.
