Intern - QA Automation

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Create and enhance reusable Page Object Model (POM) components and automation utilities.
• Execute smoke, regression, and end-to-end automated test suites.
• Analyze test execution results and investigate automation failures.
• Design and document test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on requirements.
• Support defect verification, retesting, and root cause analysis.
• Use Git for source control, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with QA Engineers, Developers, and Product Owners to improve product quality.
• Utilize AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to generate test ideas, test cases, and Playwright scripts.
• Review and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Support CI/CD test execution and assist in maintaining automation pipelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and AI-assisted testing practices.

Expected Learning Outcomes

• Hands-on experience with Node.js, Playwright, and Git.
• Understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and Agile practices.
• Experience implementing automation frameworks and reusable test components.
• Exposure to AI-assisted software testing and quality engineering concepts.
• Ability to independently develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or Node.js.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, APIs).
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and AI-driven testing tools.
