As part of HPE’s Customer Solution Center, you will act as a key escalation point for complex database incidents, helping ensure the availability, performance, and security of business-critical systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with large-scale production environments while developing expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, performance optimization, and database infrastructure.\n\nOn a typical day, you’ll:\n\nAdminister and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments, including upgrades, patching, migrations, and database health monitoring.\n\nTroubleshoot performance issues, investigate incidents, and perform root cause analysis to ensure stable and reliable database operations.\n\nManage backups, recovery processes, high availability solutions, and disaster recovery activities.\n\nMonitor database performance, capacity, security, and availability while proactively identifying improvement opportunities.\n\nCollaborate with application, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams to resolve complex technical issues.\n\nContribute to automation, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous service improvement initiatives.\n\nWhy You? If the ability to connect yourself is what you bring to the table… along with the following:\n\nFluency in English;\n\n3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in production environments.\n\nStrong knowledge of SQL Server administration, backup and recovery, performance troubleshooting, and database maintenance.\n\nExperience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances, or Log Shipping.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex production incidents.\n\nExperience working with customer-facing support teams and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nHands-on experience with T-SQL and a good understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, storage, and networking concepts related to SQL Server.\n\nNice to have:\n\nPowerShell scripting and automation experience.\n\nExperience with Oracle Database administration.\n\nKnowledge of SQL Server Replication, SSIS, or SSRS.\n\nRelevant Microsoft SQL Server or infrastructure certifications.\n\nNATO Clearance.\n\nJoin our team and be a part of our commitment to excellence in logistics services!
