You will report to the Chief Operating Officer, work closely with the CEO, and serve as the company's senior finance leader. Your guidance will directly shape how we plan, spend, and grow.\nThis is a hands-on role. You will run the close, own the numbers, and roll up your sleeves alongside a small team, while also bringing the judgment to advise leadership on cash, forecasts, and business decisions. You will lead a small team and manage our outside partners for tax, payroll, HR, benefits, legal, and insurance.\nWhat You'll Do\nAccounting and Close\nOwn the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting and financial reporting.\nLead and actively participate in month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.\nDeliver monthly financials to leadership within 10 business days of month end.\nReview the team's work, handle complex entries directly, and serve as final approver of the close.\nForecasting and Business Partnership\nBuild and maintain the annual budget, cash flow forecast, and net income forecast.\nCreate and report financial and operational KPIs to the COO, CEO, and leadership team.\nProvide clear analysis and recommendations on pricing, hiring, investments, and operations.\nCash and Banking\nManage banking relationships, credit facilities, and covenant compliance.\nOversee daily cash management and short-term cash forecasting.\nControls, Tax, and Compliance\nEstablish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, including segregation of duties and approval limits.\nOversee sales tax (including Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax), payroll tax compliance, and income tax coordination with our outside CPA firm.\nOwn corporate governance and entity compliance, working with legal and tax advisors.\nPayroll, Benefits, and Insurance\nProvide financial oversight of payroll, employee benefits, and the 401(k) plan with our outsourced providers.\nOversee the company's insurance program, renewals, and related financial matters.\nFinancial Systems\nOwn NetSuite and related financial systems.\nLead implementations, integrations, automation, and process improvements.\nTeam Leadership and Hiring\nLead, coach, and develop the team through clear goals, regular feedback, and cross-training.\nPlan the team's structure and capacity as the company grows.\nWhat You Bring\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years leading an accounting team.\nExperience hiring and developing accounting staff.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end close.\nExperience with forecasting, financial analysis, cash management, and banking relationships.\nStrong ERP experience, including integrations and process improvement.\nWorking knowledge of tax compliance, payroll accounting, benefits, retirement plans, insurance, and entity compliance.\nStrong understanding of internal controls and financial risk management.\nPreferred\nCPA or equivalent professional accounting designation.\nNetSuite experience.\nExperience as the senior finance leader at a company with fewer than 200 employees.\nPublic accounting experience.\nYou'll Thrive Here If You\nAre just as comfortable presenting results to the CEO as you are working through a reconciliation.\nEnjoy owning the finance function end to end, without a large team behind you.\nLike building processes and systems, not just maintaining them.\nExplain numbers in plain language to people who are not in finance.\nWant to build and develop your own team.Working Conditions\nThis role works primarily in an office setting with regular computer use.
