Responsible for working in a multi-discipline team to perform the mechanical design efforts. Interface with customer, review specifications, identification of critical features and risk items, detail the required level of analysis and risk reduction strategy, initial drawing for project definition with the customer, mechanical design and review work of designers/detailers, perform detailed analysis as required, support product qualification efforts and participate in component verification.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nPerform finite element analysis studies and document results. \nDesign experiments, analyze data and conduct structured problem solving.\nSupport manufacturing process to improve manufacturability. \nReview industry standard and customer specification requirements and ensure designs are compliant. \nWork concurrently with RF, Manufacturing, Process and Project Engineers to optimize designs for performance and manufacturability. \nGenerate reports (mechanical analysis reports). \nCreate product documentation for manufacturing.\nCreate documentation for customer interface (Datasheets)\nParticipate in preliminary and critical design review phases of design. \nListen to and understand customer requirements and take prompt, appropriate action that exceeds expectations. \nTake personal ownership of internal and external customer issues and follow through to ensure a lasting service impression. \nPerform all other related duties as assigned.\nUnder direct supervision, assist in the design layout and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical designs\nPerforms product development activities, including drawing board layout and interpretation, implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.\nProvide existing product line support in design activities or of hardware in production. \nConduct engineering studies and may assign work to technical drafting staff. Perform all other related duties as assigned. \nJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities;\nFamiliar with 3D modeling and FEA packages. \nAbility to perform thermal, structural, and/or vibration analysis. \nAbility to design experiments, analyze the data and perform structured problem solving. \nAbility to interface with customers, process engineering and work effectively in a cross functional team. \nMust possess strong oral and written communication skills to document and communicate technical specifications. \nStrong critical thinking and research skills. \nAbility to multitask and prioritize. \nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team. \nStrong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering\n0-2 years relevant experience\n\nMust be a U.S. citizen and have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.\nCompensation and Benefits:\nTTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances.
