RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nFull-Set Accounting\n\nManage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliation, and journal systems, payment gateways, bank receipts, and other sales platforms.\n\nMonitor cash collections, card payments, online payments, refunds, discounts, and other retail transactions.\n\nInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between sales, inventory, and accounting records.\n\nInventory & Cost Control\n\nWork closely with the Retail, Warehouse, Merchandising, and Operations teams to monitor inventory transactions.\n\nReconcile inventory balances and investigate stock variances.\n\nMonitor inventory valuation, stock movement, stock adjustments, and cost of goods sold (COGS).\n\nAssist in stock counts and ensure proper accounting treatment for inventory.\n\nFinancial Reporting & Management Accounts\n\nPrepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and financial reports for management review.\n\nPrepare account schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.\n\nProvide financial analysis and highlight significant variances, trends, and potential issues.\n\nAssist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.\n\nCash Flow & Treasury\n\nMonitor daily and monthly cash flow requirements.\n\nPrepare cash flow forecasts and payment schedules.\n\nPerform regular bank reconciliations.\n\nMonitor collections, supplier payments, operational expenses, and cash requirements.\n\nTax, SST & Statutory Compliance\n\nEnsure compliance with Malaysian accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.\n\nPrepare and assist with SST submissions, tax-related schedules, and e-Invoice requirements.\n\nLiaise with tax agents and relevant authorities when required.\n\nEnsure statutory submissions and payments are completed accurately and within deadlines.\n\nAudit & External Parties\n\nPrepare audit schedules and supporting documents for annual audits.\n\nLiaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and other external parties.\n\nAssist in resolving audit and accounting-related queries.\n\nEnsure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained.\n\nInternal Controls & Process Improvement\n\nReview existing accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.\n\nStrengthen internal controls over sales, inventory, payments, expenses, and cash handling.\n\nAssist in improving accounting systems, reporting processes, and financial controls.\n\nTeam & Ad-Hoc Responsibilities\n\nReview and guide the work of Accounts Executives/Accounts Assistants where applicable.\n\nSupport the Finance Manager and management with financial analysis and ad-hoc projects.\n\nPerform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.\n\nRequirements\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nBachelor's Degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n\nMinimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail, fashion, FMCG, distribution, or multi-outlet businesses.\n\nStrong experience in full-set accounting.\n\nProficient in SQL Accounting.\n\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and financial formulas.\n\nGood understanding of SST, taxation, e-Invoice, and Malaysian statutory requirements.\n\nExperience with inventory accounting, retail sales reconciliation, and multi-outlet operations is highly preferred.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nAble to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.\n\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nExperience liaising with auditors and tax agents is an advantage.\n\nACCA / MIA / CIMA or other professional accounting qualifications will be an added advantage.\n\nSkills\nAccounting, Account Management, Account Reconciliation, Generally Accepted
