Stone Chair in Economics, beginning July 2027.\nThe Department of Economics in the School of Liberal Arts emphasizes applied policy analysis in development and poverty, education and labor, health, and public finance, and maintains a strong partnership with Tulane’s interdisciplinary Latin Americanist community through the Stone Center. The Stone Chair will build on these strengths by advancing research on Latin American economies, training future specialists, and supporting Louisiana’s efforts to strengthen economic ties with the region.
