This role is responsible for managing accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made in a timely manner. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience managing high volumes of transactions, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess stock invoices according to established terms, conditions, and special payment programs.\nValidate invoices against receiving reports to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.\nTroubleshoot invoice discrepancies by collaborating with warehouse personnel and reviewing receiving records.\nResearch and resolve pricing discrepancies in partnership with the Purchasing department.\nProcess drop-ship vendor invoices for payment.\nCollect, post, and prepare credit memos as appropriate.\nMaintain positive vendor relationships through phone, email, and instant messaging.\nReview and reconcile vendor statements to ensure accurate account balances.\nPerform various account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.\nCollaborate with other departments to support efficient financial operations and resolve accounting discrepancies.\nAssist with month-end closing activities to support accurate and timely financial reporting.\nHandle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity.\nQualifications & Requirements\nAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.\nStrong understanding of accounts payable processes, procedures, and accounting principles.\nAdvanced knowledge of accounts payable workflows and invoice processing.\nProficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.\nProficiency with Google Workspace.\nStrong data entry skills and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately.\nExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.\nStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.\nAbility to handle confidential information professionally and responsibly.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to remain in a stationary position, such as seated or standing, for extended periods.\nAbility to operate a computer and standard office equipment, including a printer, calculator, telephone, and copy machine.\nAbility to communicate effectively with coworkers and vendors via phone, email, video calls, and in person.\nAbility to move throughout the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, and other resources.\nAbility to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, such as when lifting or carrying files and supplies.\nAbility to adjust focus and perform tasks requiring visual acuity, including reading documents and working on a computer.\nAbility to perceive speech and sounds in a typical office environment, with or without assistive devices.\nAbility to perform repetitive motions, such as typing and writing.\nReasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.\nThere at Every Turn: Our Benefits\nAt Turn 14 Distribution, we believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
