This role is responsible for performing a broad range of human resources functions while partnering closely with warehouse leadership and the broader HR team to support business operations and employee development.\nThe HR Generalist will play an integral role in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and HRIS support. This position requires a hands-on approach to working with employees and leaders at all levels, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring HR processes are executed effectively and consistently.\nThe ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced distribution environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nRecruitment, Training & Onboarding\nSupport the talent acquisition process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, conducting onsite interviews, and facilitating background checks and pre-employment testing.\nCoordinate offer letters and prepare new hire documentation and materials.\nLead new hire orientation and complete onboarding tasks within the HRIS system (Ceridian/Dayforce).\nPartner with warehouse Leads, Supervisors, Assistant Managers, and Managers to strengthen leadership capabilities and support employee development.\nCoach and assist in developing warehouse associates at all levels to promote productivity, accountability, and consistent performance standards.\nPerformance Management & Employee Relations\nSupport performance management processes, including performance evaluations, setting expectations, and administering disciplinary procedures.\nAssist with employee relations matters and partner with the Human Resources Director on employee investigations and related issues.\nConduct 90-day and annual employee check-in meetings to support engagement, development, and performance.\nConduct exit interviews and assist with reviewing and updating job descriptions.\nBenefits Administration & Payroll Support\nConduct onsite benefits meetings and assist with employee benefits initiatives.\nPartner with Payroll on payroll-related matters, including audits and issue resolution.\nCollaborate with benefits management on benefits administration and leave management.\nAssist employees with benefits enrollment as they become eligible, including annual enrollment when requested.\nPartner with the Human Resources Director to complete unemployment claims and support unemployment hearings.\nHRIS Administration\nAssist employees and colleagues with HRIS-related questions and issues.\nMaintain accurate employee information within Ceridian/Dayforce.\nProcess employee job changes and other HRIS transactions as needed.\nSupport the accuracy and integrity of employee records and HR system data.\nAdditional HR Responsibilities\nAssist the Human Resources Director with onsite workers' compensation claims and coordinate requested information with the workers' compensation adjuster.\nMaintain the employee photo directory for the assigned distribution center.\nComplete additional HR duties, functions, and projects as assigned.\nEmployee Engagement & T14 Culture\nResearch, organize, and coordinate team-building activities that promote employee engagement and contribute to a positive work environment.\nDemonstrate and reinforce Turn 14 Distribution's core values through daily interactions and HR practices.\nServe as a liaison for the onsite celebration committee and assist with employee recognition and engagement initiatives.\nQualifications & Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Business, or a related field.\n1–2 years of relevant HR experience.\nHR certification, such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP, is a plus but not required.\nAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.\nExperience supporting a distribution center or manufacturing facility is strongly preferred.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with Ceridian/Dayforce is preferred but not required.\nKnowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.\nUnderstanding of HR processes and procedures, including benefits administration, recruiting coordination, and employee relations.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong business ethics and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.\nExceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.\nProfessional demeanor and the ability to interact courteously with employees at all levels.\nAbility to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced environment.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with employees, peers, management, and customers.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with HR colleagues and cross-functional teams.\nAbility to navigate stressful situations and manage competing priorities.\nHigh initiative, personal accountability, and sound judgment.\nStrong time management and prioritization skills.\nThere at Every Turn: Our Benefits\nAt Turn 14 Distribution, we believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
