Have you dreamed of working for a world-class hospitality brand set within one of North America’s largest privately owned landscapes?\nAt Ted Turner Reserves, we connect people with nature by providing one-of-a-kind outdoor experiences in luxury settings, and we’re looking for passionate, enthusiastic individuals to be a part of our growing team.\nOur premier Reserve, Vermejo, is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead hospitality maintenance operations and help ensure our guest accommodations, facilities, and grounds consistently meet our standards of safety, functionality, quality, and presentation across 560,000 acres of pristine wilderness.\nABOUT THE POSITION\nAs the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role in maintaining the overall condition, functionality, safety, and presentation of guest-facing facilities at Vermejo Headquarters. This position combines hands-on maintenance expertise with team leadership to ensure guest accommodations and facilities are maintained in accordance with Vermejo’s luxury hospitality standards.\nYou will oversee daily maintenance operations, supervise and support the maintenance team, perform skilled maintenance and repair work, and proactively identify and address facility needs. Working closely with Housekeeping, Guest Services, and other departments, you will help ensure our facilities are prepared to provide a seamless and exceptional guest experience.\nYou will also be responsible for:\nSupervising and coordinating the daily activities of the maintenance team, including assigning work, establishing priorities, and monitoring completion of maintenance tasks.\nConducting routine inspections and daily walk-throughs of guest accommodations, buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance, safety, and presentation concerns.\nManaging and responding to maintenance requests through the work order system in a timely and efficient manner.\nDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal preventive maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment.\nPerforming hands-on maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general facility upkeep.\nTroubleshooting maintenance issues and coordinating repairs to minimize disruption to guests and operations.\nCollaborating closely with Housekeeping, Guest Services, and other departments to address guest needs and coordinate daily operational priorities.\nServing as a key point of contact for guest-related facility and maintenance concerns and ensuring issues are addressed promptly and professionally.\nEstablishing and reinforcing safe work practices for the maintenance team and maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas.\nEnsuring maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery are properly operated, maintained, stored, and available for use.\nMonitoring equipment condition and coordinating the repair, replacement, or purchase of equipment and supplies as needed.\nAssisting with housekeeping operations when necessary, including room inspections, stayover service, and turnover support.\nParticipating in regular communication with department leaders regarding guest arrivals and departures, special events, operational needs, and maintenance priorities.\nSupporting emergency and after-hours maintenance needs as required to maintain safe and uninterrupted operations.\nAttending staff and departmental meetings as required.\nPerforming other duties as assigned.\nYOUR QUALIFICATIONS\nEssential:\nA minimum of three years of facilities, maintenance, property management, or related experience, preferably within a hospitality environment.\nStrong working knowledge of building systems and general maintenance practices, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance.\nPrevious experience leading, supervising, or coordinating the work of a team.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.\nAbility to organize and prioritize multiple maintenance requests and operational needs in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and guest service.\nThis position requires operation of vehicles, and you’ll need to possess a valid driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Vermejo’s location is approximately 4.5 hours’ drive south of Denver or 4.5 hours’ drive north of Albuquerque.\nVermejo offers single- and double-bedroom dorm room style company housing (subject to availability).
