This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in keeping a plant running safely and efficiently and wants steady work with a reliable operation.\nWhat you'll do\nOperate and monitor crushing, screening, and conveying equipment to produce aggregate to required specifications.\nStart up, run, and shut down plant equipment following safe operating procedures.\nMonitor material flow, adjust settings, and make corrections to maintain production rates and product quality.\nIdentify and clear jams, blockages, and spillage around crushers, screens, and conveyors.\nPerform routine inspections, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance on plant equipment.\nReport mechanical issues and assist maintenance personnel with repairs as needed.\nComplete pre-shift workplace exams and maintain accurate production and equipment logs.\nKeep work areas clean and organized, including housekeeping around belts and walkways.\nFollow all MSHA regulations and site safety policies, including lockout/tagout procedures.\nCommunicate with the plant supervisor, loader operators, and other crew members to coordinate production.\nWhat we're looking for\n[1-2+] years of experience operating a crushing, screening, or processing plant in an aggregate, quarry, mining, or similar heavy industrial setting.\nWorking knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, and related plant equipment.\nMechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.\nStrong commitment to safety and the ability to follow procedures consistently.\nReliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as production requires.\nValid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Hinkley site.\nPreferred qualifications\nCurrent MSHA Part 46 training.\nExperience with plant control systems or PLC-operated equipment.\nLoader or heavy equipment operating experience.\nBasic welding or maintenance skills.\nPhysical requirements and work environment\nWork outdoors in desert conditions, including extreme summer heat, wind, and dust.\nAbility to stand, walk, and climb stairs and ladders for extended periods.\nAbility to lift up to [50] pounds regularly.\nWork around heavy machinery, loud noise, and moving equipment while wearing required PPE.\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background
