The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of high-voltage civil works, utility/grid interface experience, and the ability to manage contractors, ensure compliance, and represent the client’s interests throughout design and construction.\nPlease note that working from Madrid is possible, however, travel around Spain will be required every two weeks.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage end-to-end HV substation design activities from concept studies, Grid Connection Agreements and FEED (Front End Engineering Design) through to detailed design.\nCoordinate interfaces between incoming HV infrastructure and internal facility power systems, including generators, UPS, MSBs, and switchgear.\nSupport and oversee commissioning activities, SAP (Senior Authorised Person) switching protocols, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).\nCoordinate HV civil engineering packages associated with grid connection projects.\nAct as the client's on-site representative with TSOs, DSOs, EPCs, and contractors.\nReview designs, method statements, construction drawings, and technical documentation.\nEnsure adherence to applicable regulations, safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.\nMonitor project risks, change management activities, and progress reporting.\nDegree in Engineering (BSc / MSc or equivalent experience)\nStrong background in HV substations, transmission/distribution projects, or grid-related civil works\nConstruction sector experience, ideally within a Data Centre environment\n• Exposure to large scale complex projects, collaborating effectively and directly with client\n• Excellent stakeholder management\nAbility to manage multiple interfaces and stakeholders simultaneously\nExperience in data centre projects is a strong advantage\nFluent in Spanish and very good English language skills\nWillingness to be present on-site as required\n Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
