We do so by:\nLeveraging technology and digital ways of working\nImplementing robust governance frameworks for successful digital initiatives\nStreamlining project execution with advance technology and connected data\nOrganising project data and enabling automation. \nAs an experienced Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, build, and operation of the enterprise-grade reporting and analytics capability. The successful candidate will be accountable for creating scalable data pipelines and curated data models across disparate business systems, establishing master data foundations in Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or equivalent platform, and enabling trusted reporting through Power BI or equivalent dashboard tools.\nThe role also supports a cost management initiative to create a governed cost-rates database, reusable semantic models, and business-facing reports that improve cost visibility, decision-making, and financial control.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the end-to-end design and implementation of a reporting platform ingesting data from multiple internal business systems into Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or a comparable cloud data platform.\nDesign and maintain batch data pipelines using ELT/ETL patterns and orchestration frameworks.\nDevelop and govern master and reference data structures to support consistent business definitions, dimensional modelling, and reporting quality.\nProfile, cleanse, transform, and validate source data; implement data quality controls, exception handling, reconciliation logic and auditability across the data lifecycle.\nApply data modelling best practice to build reusable lakehouse / warehouse / semantic models optimised for reporting, drill-down analysis, and self-service consumption.\nEvaluate and implement AI-assisted approaches were useful for data classification, anomaly detection, data quality monitoring, metadata enrichment, or business rule automation.\nDesign and deliver Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reports with appropriate row-level security, performance tuning, and adoption support.\nOwn the technical delivery of a cost management data solution, including cost-rate database design, ingestion workflows, historical version control, and reporting outputs.\nPartner with finance, operations, and business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable data products and measurable business outcomes.\nEstablish DevOps and platform operations practices including monitoring, alerting, release management, documentation, support handover, and continuous improvement.\nDefine and enforce standards for data governance, metadata, lineage, access control, privacy, and retention in alignment with internal policy and regulatory requirements.\nProvide technical leadership and operate with a high degree of autonomy across architecture, build, testing, deployment, and run-state support.\n Approximately 8-10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or enterprise reporting platform delivery.\nStrong delivery experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Microsoft Purview, Databricks, or equivalent cloud data technologies.\nAdvanced SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python; experience with Spark / PySpark and data transformation frameworks is highly desirable.\nDemonstrated expertise in dimensional modelling, semantic layer design, data warehousing, lakehouse concepts, and master data management.\nStrong practical experience building Power BI data models, DAX measures, governance controls, deployment pipelines, and interactive executive/business reporting.\nExperience integrating data from ERP, finance, project, procurement, HR, CRM, and other operational platforms through APIs, flat files, databases, or event-driven interfaces.\nSolid understanding of data quality frameworks, testing strategies, reconciliation controls, and production support for business-critical reporting solutions.\nExperience designing secure, maintainable data platforms, data access policies, audit trails, and compliance-aware engineering controls.\nAbility to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and engage credibly with technical teams, finance stakeholders, and senior business leaders.\nExcellent spoken and written English and Spanish.\nDesirable Skills & Experience\nExperience delivering cost analytics, commercial reporting, or rate-card / cost-rate reference data solutions.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Fabric components such as Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI integration.\nExperience with dbt, Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform or infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing frameworks.\nExposure to AI / ML techniques relevant to data operations, anomaly detection, entity matching, or metadata enrichment.\nFamiliarity with data governance and MDM operating models, including stewardship, taxonomy management, and business glossary design.\nExperience working in a consulting, transformation, or multi-stakeholder enterprise environment.\nRelevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Power BI certifications.\n Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
