We are looking for an experienced Lead / Senior Project Scheduler to join our Mining & Metals team in Colombia.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale mining and industrial projects within a collaborative, high-performing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, ensuring successful project delivery while supporting our clients across the region.\nPlease note: This position is based in Medellín, Colombia, and requires availability to work under a rotational/travel-based model, including periodic travel and on-site work at the client's office and project locations in Nicaragua.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure all planning and scheduling activities support the successful delivery of projects within approved timeframes and project objectives.\nSupport the Project Controls Lead, Project Manager, and Project Director in maintaining effective schedule control and project performance.\nDevelop and implement project planning and scheduling strategies, procedures, and standards aligned with Turner & Townsend and client requirements.\nCoordinate the development and maintenance of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and, where applicable, Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS), in collaboration with project managers, cost managers, engineering teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.\nDevelop, review, and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.\nPromote and maintain schedule integration and consistency across multiple project stakeholders, identifying opportunities for improvement in logic, sequencing, durations, dependencies, resource loading, and progress measurement.\nPerform schedule quality assessments, critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule risk reviews.\nAnalyze contractor and subcontractor schedules, comparing progress against approved baselines and identifying potential delays and mitigation opportunities.\nGenerate regular scheduling reports, dashboards, and performance analyses to support project decision-making and executive reporting.\nIdentify schedule trends, productivity issues, and forecast impacts, providing recommendations to improve project outcomes.\nCollaborate closely with site construction teams, engineering teams, and client representatives to ensure schedule alignment with project execution realities.\nSupport change management processes, schedule impact assessments, and recovery planning initiatives.\nContribute to project controls best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the Mining & Metals portfolio.\n Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 7-10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls roles.\nPrevious experience within Mining & Metals, heavy industrial, energy, infrastructure, or large capital projects environments.\nStrong experience working in complex, fast-paced, multi-stakeholder project environments.\nExperience in one or more of the following disciplines:Project Controls\nPlanning & Scheduling\nEarned Value Management (EVM)\nChange Management\nRisk Management\nPMO / Program Controls\n\nProven experience implementing planning and scheduling processes across large projects or portfolios.\nAdvanced proficiency with Primavera P6 is required.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Project and project controls reporting tools.\nSolid understanding of project execution methodologies, engineering deliverables, procurement activities, construction sequencing, and commissioning processes.\nExperience performing critical path analysis, schedule recovery planning, and progress measurement.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nFluent Spanish is required.\nEnglish proficiency is highly desirable and preferred for interaction with regional and international stakeholders.\nExperience on mining processing plants, concentrators, smelters, tailings facilities, brownfield expansions, or large industrial capital projects.\nKnowledge of schedule risk analysis methodologies and tools.\nFamiliarity with EPC, EPCM, or Owner's Team project delivery models.\nExperience supporting multinational mining companies and major capital investment programs.\n Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
