The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, monitoring field activities, and ensuring compliance with client, regulatory, and project-specific health and safety requirements.\nThe ideal candidate will be a proactive safety professional with experience in complex construction environments and a passion for driving safe work practices. This role requires close collaboration with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to identify and mitigate risks, promote continuous improvement, and support the successful delivery of mission-critical projects.\nAs a key member of the project team, the Onsite Safety Professional will help ensure that health and safety standards are consistently maintained throughout all phases of construction while embodying Turner & Townsend's values and commitment to excellence.\n What you'll do\nSupport implementation and enforcement of project-specific health and safety programs and procedures.\nConduct routine site inspections, audits, and field observations to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and industry best practices.\nMonitor construction activities and identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and at-risk behaviors, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented.\nPartner with contractors and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.\nReview and evaluate Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and safe work plans.\nParticipate in pre-task planning meetings, safety briefings, and daily coordination meetings.\nSupport incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective action tracking, and lessons learned reviews.\nTrack safety observations, inspections, leading indicators, and key performance metrics.\nVerify contractor compliance with project safety requirements and established safety performance expectations.\nAssist with emergency preparedness planning and emergency response activities.\nDeliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.\nMaintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation in accordance with project requirements.\nCollaborate with construction management, project management, and client teams to ensure alignment on safety objectives.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing risk and enhancing overall project safety performance.\nPromote Turner & Townsend's commitment to health, safety, quality, and operational excellence.\n Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.\n3+ years of construction safety experience, preferably supporting data center, mission-critical, industrial, or commercial construction projects.\nStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard recognition practices.\nExperience conducting safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.\nKnowledge of high-risk construction activities including electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), energized work, crane operations, excavation, fall protection, and confined space entry.\nAbility to work effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.\nStrong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and safety reporting systems.\nAbility to work full-time onsite in active construction environments.\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.\nCHST, ASP, CSP, or other professional safety certifications preferred.\n *SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.\n*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs*\nOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
