See Security Clearance Section.\nOur Defence business provides a wide range of services supporting end to end programme management all of which require logistics expertise. We already have a well developed Operational Delivery team working across multiple capability areas and are now in the process of developing our Defence Infrastructure offering. In conjunction with our other commercial infrastructure colleagues, we are building an integrated logistics capability to enhance this offering, providing strategy, planning and set up advice to clients that keeps their programmes within the art of the possible and derisks delivery.\nJoining this team as a champion of integrated logistics is an exciting opportunity to be at the cutting edge of the infrastructure world while supporting the development of Defence capability.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are looking for enthusiastic, talented, and proactive individuals to join our Logistics Team, within Defence. Our growing team needs people with hands on experience working in a major project environment - whether you’re a champion of change, a connoisseur of consents or a perfect PM with a logistics background we’d love to hear from you about how you could help us to deliver tangible results for our clients.\nLogistics (Defence & Infrastructure) work across a range of programmes both within Defence and commercial sectors. Drawing on the basic idea that the earlier logistics are given consideration, the better the final outcome. We aim to play a major role in project planning and the development of strategies. We advise on initial set-up and the establishment of robust procedures to provide the client with the visibility and controls required to maintain governance and assurance, as well as maintaining a golden thread for asset tracking and management from procurement through to operations and through life management.\nAs part of the Logistics Team your key responsibilities will include:\nWorking as part of an integrated project team to ensure the delivery of key client deliverables \nDesigning and facilitating client workshops and presentations \nManaging client relationships \nIdentifying and realising business development opportunities \nContributing towards the preparation of bid proposals \nSupporting internal initiatives within the Defence and Infrastructure teams, such as the development of programme integration products and methodologies. \nMentoring and line managing junior staff (where applicable).\nProvide strategic consultancy services to clients on logistics and supply chain management. \nSupport the development and implementation of innovative logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.\nAdvise clients on best practices in logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.\nConduct thorough analyses of clients' logistics processes and identify areas for improvement.\nCollaborate with clients and internal teams to design and implement customized logistics solutions.\nSupport the development of logistics-related proposals and presentations for clients.\nStay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to provide cutting-edge advice.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in logistics operations.\nSupport the development of an integrated best in class construction / logistics delivery planning service offer.\n A thorough knowledge of logistic principles and processes such as S&OP and JIT delivery\nA sound understanding of the planning and development of major projects \nA working knowledge of CDM regulations, the RIBA stages and NEC 4 options\nExcellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills \nStrong leadership skills \nAbility to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities \nA commitment to your own learning and development \nStrong interpersonal and communication skills \nExcellent presentation skills \nHigh attention to detail \nOutcomes focussed \nEntrepreneurial mindset \nPassionate and energetic \nA Defence background would be a disirable, but is not essential. \n Security Clearance\nImportant: Before applying, due to the sensitive nature of these projects, you must be a Sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain UK MoD Security Clearance (SC).\nMany of the clients and projects we support are subject to MoD security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
