The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional with expertise in project controls, cost management, scheduling, governance, and portfolio reporting on large-scale capital projects and programs.\nThis role will serve as a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO), providing oversight of project controls processes, governance frameworks, financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and reporting across multiple projects. The Project Controls Manager will partner closely with project managers, cost managers, construction managers, contractors, and client stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets, schedules, and governance requirements.\nWhat You'll Do\nProject Controls & Governance\nProvide PMO oversight and establish project governance processes, controls standards, reporting frameworks, and performance measurement methodologies.\nEnsure compliance with client governance requirements, approval processes, and organizational policies.\nPresent project performance updates, risks, forecasts, and governance recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.\nSupport stage-gate reviews, project approvals, funding requests, and change control governance processes.\nFinancial Management & Budget Oversight\nOversee project and program budgets, monitoring financial performance including budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and earned value analysis.\nPartner with project managers, cost managers, and contractors to validate financial data and ensure forecast accuracy.\nLead monthly financial reviews and provide executive-level budget reporting with recommendations.\nTrack project funding, contingency utilization, and evaluate change orders and potential claims for financial impact.\nDevelop forecasting models and provide early identification of budget risks and opportunities.\nSchedule Management\nDevelop, maintain, and update Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and consolidate contractor schedules into master program schedules.\nConduct schedule analysis, resource loading, and assess impacts to critical path activities.\nMonitor schedule deviations and support development of recovery and mitigation plans.\nFacilitate schedule reviews with project teams and conduct quality reviews to ensure schedule integrity.\nReporting, Analytics & Performance Management\nProduce monthly, quarterly, and executive-level portfolio reports and dashboards with earned value metrics and KPIs.\nAnalyze trends, forecasts, and project health metrics to provide actionable recommendations for improved outcomes.\nMaintain records of scope changes, risks, opportunities, and performance variances.\nRisk & Change Management\nFacilitate quantitative risk assessments and schedule risk analyses while maintaining project risk registers.\nLead project change control processes and coordinate stakeholder approvals to ensure governance compliance.\nStakeholder Management & Commercial Support\nInterface with project stakeholders as a trusted advisor, facilitating status meetings, financial reviews, and governance sessions.\nSupport contract administration, procurement processes, and evaluate commercial risks and financial exposure.\n Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Business, or related field.\n8+ years of experience in project controls, project management, PMO, construction management, or cost management on large capital projects within a A/E/C environment.\nStrong understanding of project governance, PMO functions, stage-gate processes, and portfolio management.\nDemonstrated experience managing project financials, budgets, forecasting, cash flow, earned value management (EVM), and cost reporting.\nStrong knowledge of construction industry delivery methods, procurement strategies, value management, and value engineering.\nAdvanced proficiency with spreadsheets, reporting tools, dashboards, and executive presentations.\nHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.\nExperience with cloud-based project management and reporting platforms.\nStrong experience with project scheduling software preferred.\nSkilled in industry-standard cost management, planning, scheduling, forecasting, and progress measurement tools.\nKnowledge of project controls best practices, governance frameworks, and PMO methodologies.\nExceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication capabilities.\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nStrong oral and written English communication skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.\nValid passport with no geographical limitations.\n *SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.\n*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs*\nOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
