This position will serve as a key cost/financial lead, overseeing cost management and budget tracking for high-value public-sector infrastructure efforts. The successful candidate will manage fiscal accountability, ensure compliance with County financial procedures, and deliver timely and accurate financial reports in support of multi-phase construction contracts.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead all project cost management, budgeting, and financial oversight activities.\nDevelop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis aligned with County requirements.\nPrepare, submit, and track all contract and consultant invoices; coordinate with the County on payment status.\nMonitor financial compliance with contract terms, approved scopes, and funding allocations.\nSupport preparation of monthly financial reports, audit documentation, and funding source summaries.\nCoordinate with Project Controls team on budget adjustments, change orders, and funding reallocations.\nLiaise with County fiscal officers and auditors to support financial transparency and reporting.\nAssist in maintaining financial records per ISD requirements and internal controls.\nSOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. \n Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.\nMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management for capital projects.\nAt least 5 years of experience managing project finances for public sector or government clients.\nStrong knowledge of project cost control systems, invoice processing, and capital funding structures.\nExperience with construction management or infrastructure project environments.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial reporting tools, and ERP/accounting software.\nExcellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Los Angeles County financial procedures and reporting templates or other large Los Angeles Public clients\nFamiliarity with e-Builder, Oracle, or other project control systems.\n The salary range for this full-time role is $140k-$170k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
