Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier program, project and cost management offering in markets around the world.\n About the role\nThe Design Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing the design process from campus planning/basis of design stage through issuance of construction drawings. This includes building matrixed design teams from the client's internal design and external design services partners/providers, facilitating the creation of a shared plan for the execution, and oversight of construction administration services provided by the external design team in support of construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design and building construction, in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n*This role will require travel throughout the Columbus metro area as needed.\nWhat you’ll do\nDevelop and assist in planning and kickoff workshops with internal & external stakeholders;\nAssist with design reviews in partnership with external partners;\nAssist in authoring scopes of work for contracts and gain buy-in from internal stakeholders;\nIssue, administer, track contracts;\nDefine and track deliverables from various parties;\nTrack of cost, schedule, progress and scope; Provide dashboard reporting on cost, schedule, scope and progress;\nChange management for project scope and design contracts;\nSupport the owner’s design change management process;\nComplete quality checks of design issues in the BIM environment;\nFacilitate technical decisions in-line with project needs;\nCoordinate design activities with procurement and construction;\nAssist clear and transparent communication with all internal stakeholder and external partners;\nQuality check the issuance of engineering information to the right party, at the right time, in the right format; and\nAssist in project close out to align final documentation with design partners and contractors.\n What you’ll need\nBachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.\nProfessional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA, or equivalent) is preferred.\nPrior experience with data center design and/or construction preferred. Examples of design and/or construction of acceptable non-data center projects: healthcare (hospitals), large commercial (high rise), laboratory, manufacturing facilities (fabs), high power (power plants)\nMinimum 1 years of design project management experience is required\n3+ years of experience in design and/or construction project management is preferred\nStrong experience in understanding design principles and practices\nIntermediate understanding of construction principles and practices\nExperience managing and coordinating project teams\nExperience in the preparation of project plans, specifications\nExperience drafting scopes of work\nExperience with government regulations, entitlements a plus\nExperience in managing multiple projects simultaneously\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nStrong leadership and organizational skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\n The base salary range for this role is $145K-$160K USD. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
