Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in the Nordics area we are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Control & Commissioning Manager for construction projects to join our Data Centre team in Cedar Rapids, IA.\nWith a market leading client base and the opportunity to take the lead on strategic commissions and high-profile projects, this is an exciting time to join the business unit and grow a career with Turner & Townsend.\nResponsibilities:\nClose liaison with Client’s representative to fulfil the project’s quality requirements\nEstablish and maintain good coordination with Contractors and Consultants\nPerform audit/ field inspection to Contractors as requested by the Client\nReview and/ or approve all ITP and Checklist\nPerform site walk with Client and or Consultant to ensure quality requirements are met.\nRecruiting qualified QC personnel as required\nPlan for witnessing the commissioning based on the available resources\nPresent the quality related issue to the Client weekly and escalate any significant issue for resolution\nAttend & ensure Kick off Meeting of vendors are performed\nAttend weekly coordination meeting with Client, Consultants and Contractors \nAttend specific weekly coordination meeting with Contractors, vendors, consultants and Clients in regard to resolution of technical issues\nManage the receipt, review and compliance of project commissioning documentation to achieve the necessary sign off\nManaging the Commissioning Schedule\nManage a team of Commissioning Engineers and Vendors\nEquipment Installation Oversight\nSupervise the installation of new equipment, systems, and facilities\nInspect and verify the correct functioning of electrical, mechanical, and environmental control systems\nTesting and Verification: Conduct tests to ensure operational efficacy\nPrepare and deliver Commissioning reports, progress, issues log and Risks\nManage the close out of commissioning risks & issues with the Contractors & Vendors.\nVerify the integrity and performance of critical systems\nApprove the finalization of the project based on successful testing\n A Bachelor’ degree in engineering or a related field is considered beneficial for the role\nExperience in industrial equipment and systems commissioning & Management\nProficiency in mechanical and electrical equipment and systems\nFamiliarity with control systems for critical infrastructures\nProficiency with a variety of related computer software applications including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word) is required\nExperience and proficiency with online document management applications is a strong plus\nExcellent communication and organizational skills\nLeadership experience\nConsultant PM experience specifically with a background delivering best in class large scale mission critical projects and have a detailed knowledge of Data Centre pre-construction, build to and handover / commissioning as well as post turn over processes\nAvailability for on-site work\n Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
