The role will provide recommendations for monthly payments and final account settlements while ensuring contractual entitlement is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.\nSupport the development and implementation of cost control processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring alignment with industry best practice, client requirements, and contractual obligations.\nPrepare detailed cost estimates for electrical installations, including materials, labour, plant, equipment, testing, commissioning, and associated subcontract works.\nDevelop and maintain the processes, systems, and administrative procedures necessary to support the timely and accurate production of cost reports and financial forecasts.\nFoster strong relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers, specialist electrical subcontractors, and professional bodies within the construction and engineering sectors.\nProvide commercial advice and expertise in relation to claims, variations, compensation events, and contractual disputes arising from construction and consultancy contracts.\nReview Bills of Quantities and Schedules of Rates prepared by consultants and contractors, providing cost validation and benchmarking against project designs and scope requirements.\nAssess and evaluate monthly valuations, payment applications, variations, change orders, and final accounts associated with electrical works packages.\nMonitor project costs against approved budgets, identifying risks and opportunities and providing regular financial reporting, forecasting, and cost control recommendations.\nUndertake measurement and valuation of electrical installations, including low-voltage and high-voltage systems, containment, cabling, substations, switchgear, lighting, power distribution, and associated infrastructure works.\nSupport procurement activities, including tender evaluation, commercial assessment, contract administration, and subcontractor management for electrical packages.\nEnsure compliance with contract conditions and maintain accurate records to support commercial decisions and final account negotiations.\n Minimun 8+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale electrical, energy, oil and gas, transmission & distribution, renewable energy, utilities projects.\nStrong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and associated construction methodologies.\nMust have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, drawings and specifications. \nStrong experience of delivering technically complex and high value projects. \nExperience of working in a comparable consultancy environment, or with a client or contractor organisation.\nKnowledge of cost management principles, methods, techniques and tools, including the standard method of measurement.\nMust have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to foster relationships.\n Our people share our Purpose and Values.
