We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Safety Manager to lead, manage, and coordinate all aspects of our specialized health and safety programs. This is an exceptional opportunity to drive safety excellence and foster a proactive safety culture across our organisation. As Safety Manager, you will be instrumental in formulating advanced technical concepts related to safety protocols and risk management, whilst ensuring compliance with safety regulations, protecting our workforce, and supporting the safe delivery of our operations. You will lead cross-functional teams to develop robust safety management systems and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to organisational needs and regulatory requirements
- Formulate and advance technical concepts for risk assessment, hazard control, and safety protocols, maintaining currency with industry best practices and regulatory changes
- Manage and coordinate a specialised team or discipline, ensuring the highest standards of safety are met across all operations
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local and international safety standards
- Lead incident investigations, analyse root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
- Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior management
- Provide expert guidance and support to operational teams on safe working practices and hazard mitigation strategies
- Manage contractor safety oversight and ensure adherence to safety standards and control of contractor requirements
- Develop and deliver safety training programmes and awareness initiatives to promote a strong safety-first culture across all organisational levels
- Champion proactive safety practices and serve as a visible safety advocate throughout the organisation
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety legislation, regulations, and licence conditions applicable to operations in Qatar, maintaining accurate documentation and records
- More than 14 years of professional experience in safety, health and safety, or HSE management roles
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in safety management within major projects, infrastructure, or industrial environments
- Regional experience in the Middle East, particularly within Qatar or similar regulatory environments, is highly preferred
- Professional certifications highly preferred, including CSP, OHST, NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or other internationally recognised safety qualifications
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of relevant safety legislation and regulations, including those applicable in Qatar
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
- Proficiency in developing and implementing safety management systems, risk assessments, and safety training programmes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all organisational levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proficiency in safety management software and digital tools
