As a result, our people enjoy working on some of the most exciting programmes in the world.\n We are seeking a Data Analyst to join a high-profile Defence programme supporting strategic decision-making through the development of data products, applications, and analytical capabilities within a secure environment.\nWorking within a multidisciplinary Agile team, you will help transform complex data into valuable insights, support the development of innovative digital solutions, and contribute across the data lifecycle. You will work closely with client stakeholders, engineers, architects, and business analysts to ensure data is effectively structured, analysed, and applied to support operational and strategic outcomes.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work with modern data platforms and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, while contributing to a programme that delivers tangible value to Defence users.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.\n\nDevelop dashboards, reports, and analytical products to support evidence-based decision-making.\n\nElicit, understand, and translate business and user requirements into data-driven solutions.\n\nWork with stakeholders to define analytical approaches, measures, and success criteria.\n\nCollaborate with data engineers and technical teams to access, structure, and prepare data from multiple sources.\n\nSupport the development, testing, and validation of analytical models, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.\n\nEnsure data quality, consistency, traceability, and appropriate documentation across analytical outputs.\n\nContribute to Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint ceremonies, demonstrations, and stakeholder engagement.\n\nPresent findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nPromote good analytical practice, data literacy, and knowledge sharing across project teams.\n\nSupport the design and implementation of UX and UI across digital tooling.\n\nPlease note: This role may require regular attendance on client sites (typically 2-3 days per week) and travel to other locations when required.\n Essential\nDegree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline.\n\nExperience analysing and interpreting complex datasets.\n\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nExperience using SQL for data extraction and analysis.\n\nExperience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\n\nUnderstanding data modelling, data structures, and data management principles.\n\nExperience working within collaborative, multidisciplinary delivery teams.\n\nDesirable\nExperience with Palantir Foundry or similar cloud-based data platforms.\n\nExperience developing dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI.\n\nExperience supporting AI, machine learning, or automation initiatives.\n\nExperience working within Defence, Government, National Security, or other highly regulated environments.\n\nExperience with Python, R, or a similar analytical/programming language.\n\nKnowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.\n\nUnderstanding of data governance, security, and information management practices.\n\nSecurity Requirements\nApplicants must hold, or be eligible and willing to obtain, UK Security Clearance.
