Turner & Townsend is an independent professional services company specialising in programme management, project management, cost and commercial management and advisory across the real estate, infrastructure and natural resources sectors. Our Energy & Natural Resources Division is involved in some of the world’s most exciting capital development programmes, including energy and power.

Due to continued growth in our Project Management team in Ireland we are looking to appoint a Project Manager to work with our client on an exciting project within the energy sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery of identified Capital projects with the focus on budget, schedule and quality output;
  • Drive the management of project design development across the complete delivery lifecycle, including Design & Build stage;
  • Manage directly, and in certain circumstances liaise with others in the management of stakeholders to ensure project timescales are met;
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of customer and stakeholder interactions, progress reports, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects.
  • Identify and document potential and known risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Accountable for management of project control, including resourcing and service delivery requirements, ensuring Consultant supervision where relevant.
  • Oversee the management of project estimation and project planning.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities when required.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing large or multiple capital projects in the utilities or telecoms sector or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of project management, contract management
  • Proven ability to successfully implement and execute programmes and driving performance.
  • Experience is in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
