Turner & Townsend and CBRE work together to provide clients with the premier program, project and cost management offering in markets around the world.\n About the Role\nWe are seeking highly motivated and experienced Transmission Project Managers to oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of electric transmission projects. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing project schedules and budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong project leadership skills with a deep understanding of transmission systems, utility operations, engineering processes, and capital project delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the end-to-end delivery of transmission projects, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout activities.\n\nDevelop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.\n\nCoordinate with engineering, environmental, permitting, construction, and operations teams to ensure project success.\n\nServe as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, leadership teams, customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.\n\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues that may impact project objectives.\n\nMonitor project performance and provide regular status updates, forecasts, and executive-level reporting.\n\nEnsure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, environmental regulations, and company policies.\n\nManage contractor and vendor performance to ensure quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in project delivery.\n\nSupport strategic planning efforts and contribute to the development of transmission infrastructure programs.\n\nSOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.\n\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.\n\n7+ years of experience managing utility, transmission, energy infrastructure, or large-scale capital projects.\n\nProven experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary project teams.\n\nStrong knowledge of transmission systems, utility operations, and project delivery methodologies.\n\nExperience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk management processes.\n\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.\n\nProficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\n\nPMP (Project Management Professional) certification.\n\nExperience with transmission line, substation, and grid modernization projects in the US and/or Canada.\n\nKnowledge of NERC, FERC, and utility regulatory requirements.\n\nExperience working within investor-owned utilities, EPC firms, or energy infrastructure organizations.\n\nKey Competencies\nStrategic Leadership\n\nProject Execution Excellence\n\nRisk Management\n\nStakeholder Engagement\n\nCustomer-driven\n\nFinancial and Budget Management\n\nProblem Solving and Decision Making\n\nTeam Leadership and Collaboration\n\nSafety-First Mindset\n\n *On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs*\nThe salary range for this full-time role is $150-180k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
