This role is ideal for a senior professional who excels in contract interpretation, claims management, documentation, and stakeholder coordination-ensuring projects run smoothly and fully comply with contractual obligations.\nKey Responsibilities\nContract Administration & Daily Project Support\nManage the day-to-day contractual administration of assigned projects, ensuring all contractual and claim-related events are monitored, documented, and escalated when necessary.\nProvide early identification of potential risks and opportunities, recommending proactive measures to the project team.\nInterpret contract terms and work closely with project managers, site teams, and legal representatives when contractual issues arise.\nCorrespondence & Documentation\nReview, log, track, and manage all incoming and outgoing project correspondence.\nDraft contractual letters, coordinate reviews with project management and senior stakeholders, and ensure timely issuance.\nSupport the setup and oversight of document control systems.\nMaintain comprehensive records including correspondence, meeting minutes, photos, and other relevant documents.\nMeetings & Stakeholder Engagement\nParticipate in internal project status meetings, providing updates on claims, risks, and contractual matters.\nAttend and support client, consortium, supplier, and technical meetings when required.\nReview minutes of meetings to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.\nAssist in organising workshops to enhance claim and change management awareness among project team members.\nReporting\nSupport project reporting requirements by contributing contractual insights and documentation.\nPrepare monthly reports for senior management detailing Notices of Claim, active claims, change orders, key correspondence, and significant upcoming events.\nClaims Management\nManage both incoming and outgoing claims throughout the project lifecycle.\nFor incoming claims: verify entitlement, collect supporting records, assess risks, and develop defensive strategies with the project team.\nFor outgoing claims: prepare claim notifications, compile substantiation, draft formal claim submissions, and support negotiation processes.\nEnsure all claims are handled in accordance with contractual deadlines and requirements.\nDispute Resolution\nAssist senior management and legal teams with dispute resolution processes, including document preparation and detailed investigation of contractual issues.\nProject Acceptance & Closeout\nSupport the process of obtaining acceptance certificates and verifying that contractual deliverables have been fulfilled.\nEnsure all contract administration records are properly archived after project completion.\n Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.\nAt least 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in contract administration.\nStrong working knowledge of standard contract forms such as PAM, FIDIC (Red, Yellow & Silver Books), CIDB 2022, and bespoke agreement structures.\nFamiliarity with country-specific regulations, including Contracts Act, Arbitration Act, and the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act (CIPAA).\nExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation and correspondence.\nStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.\nA proactive mindset, able to identify risks early and support effective claim and change management.\n Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
