In this role, you'll process client samples from preparation through analysis, playing a hands-on part in delivering accurate, high-quality results in a fast-paced lab environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys precise, methodical work and wants to build a career in laboratory and minerals testing operations.\nWhat You'll Do\nSample Processing & Analysis\nPrepare and process samples using approved digestion and dissolution methods, following documented lab procedures.\nPerform primary crushing, riffle splitting, subsampling, sieving, compositing, and racking of samples.\nOperate laboratory equipment, including Orbis crushers and LM2 pulverisers, in line with training and safe work procedures.\nAccurately weigh and prepare samples for a range of analytical testing methods.\nWork independently once trained, managing multiple jobs to meet operational priorities and deadlines.\nQuality & Recordkeeping\nMaintain accurate laboratory worksheets and update spreadsheets and tracking systems.\nSupport quality control efforts and escalate non-conformances following lab procedures.\nKeep quality records current and aligned with the lab's quality management system.\nPerform routine housekeeping and equipment maintenance to keep the lab clean and contamination-free.\nSafety & Team Collaboration\nParticipate in daily pre-start meetings, shift handovers, and safety discussions.\nFollow all safety procedures and correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE).\nIdentify and report hazards, and take appropriate action to reduce risk.\nSupport and mentor teammates, sharing knowledge as your experience grows.\nWhat You Bring\nHigh school diploma / Year 12 certificate or equivalent.\nPrior experience in a minerals or analytical laboratory preferred, including sample preparation and lab data entry.\nFamiliarity with laboratory procedures, standards, and quality systems.\nStrong attention to detail and solid basic lab bench skills, including accurate pipetting and contamination prevention.\nBasic to intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills for recordkeeping and reporting.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.\nValid driver's license;
