Turning Point Action is on a mission to save America, one precinct at a time. \n\nJob Description: Turning Point Action Staff Accountant will maintain financial records with daily entries in accordance with GAAP. Incumbent will process accounts payable, classify accounting records, reconcile accounts, review general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries, research and gather information for financial reporting, review and process credit card reports in order to ensure proper documentation, review and pay employees for mileage and other reimbursements, set up and assign credit cards for employees, assists with payroll, assist the Director of Accounting with various projects.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, and related fields\nStrong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control procedures\nExperience with accounting software\nProficient with Microsoft Excel \nKnowledge of Google Drive (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.) \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nWillingness to fulfill all duties listed and any additional duties assigned \nAn unrelenting, positive attitude \nStrong work ethic and goal-oriented \nSelf-starter and self-motivated \nPunctual and very responsive \nEthical and responsible behavior \n“WOW!” SKILLS:\nExperience working in conservative grassroots politics\nExperience with Concur (or any credit card system)\nExperience with Sage Intacct (accounting software)\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field\nThis position is required to have a valid driver's license, a reliable mode of transportation, and proof of insurance when applicable and will be required to pass a background
