We're building the trustless, programmable foundation for the autonomous economy, and we're hiring people who understand what that requires.\nYour role \nYou’ll join a small platform team that works with nearly every engineering team at Turnkey. Your job is to help the whole org build faster, scale more confidently, and make better decisions, through the tooling you build, the practices you establish, and the systemic problems you find and fix before they become incidents.\nYou’ll work independently across product and infrastructure teams on scaling and performance, gathering requirements and constraints from each team and turning them into shared solutions. This is a role for someone who has lived through what breaks between 1 and 10, and who gets energy from stepping outside their own domain to solve problems wherever they sit.\nBuild tooling for performance analysis and observability so teams can see how their systems behave and decide from data rather than intuition\nPartner with product, infrastructure, and security teams to understand their requirements and constraints, translate technical tradeoffs for non-technical stakeholders, and build shared understanding of priorities to develop solutions that work across team boundaries\nIdentify systemic issues across infrastructure and product, and drive them to resolution\nAnticipate scaling bottlenecks and take systems from X to Y scale (e.g., [throughput / latency / tenant count targets]) before they become incidents\nLevel up other teams by introducing better tooling and practices and helping them build habits around measurement, SLOs, and data-driven decisions\nTranslate technical tradeoffs for non-technical stakeholders and build shared understanding of priorities\nRaise the technical bar through design reviews, documentation, and mentorship\nWhat we’re looking for\n5+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or SRE, with substantial distributed systems experience\nExperience designing, building, scaling, and operating robust, reliable distributed systems in production\nWorking experience with Golang, AWS, Postgres, and Kubernetes. \nExperience building tooling for performance and observability (metrics, tracing, profiling, logging, alerting, or similar)\nA data-driven approach: you define the metrics, instrument the system, and can tell the story of how a system or team moved from X to Y\nA record of leveling up teams beyond your own, through tooling, practices, or decision-making habits\nClear communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nIntellectual curiosity and a willingness to step outside your own domain to understand how other teams work and what they need\nStyle points\nInfrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform or similar)\nExperience in security-sensitive or high-assurance environments (TEE’s, secure enclaves, key management, regulated infrastructure). \nFluency in Go\nExperience with incident management and post-incident learning programs\nOpen source contributions or public technical writing\nWhat We Offer\nFull benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, 401(k)\nPaid parental leave\nUnlimited PTO\n$3,000/yr learning and development budget to attend industry conferences\nMultiple team offsites per year\nLunch stipend\nPlease note that while the team is remote, we are only considering candidates who are physically based in the United States and Canada at the current time.\nTurnkey is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
