This role is built for a hunter who thrives on opening new doors as much as nurturing the ones already open.\nWhat You'll Do\nIdentify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with electrical contractors, general contractors, and project owners in the commercial construction space\nWork assigned leads and self-generate new prospects through cold calls, jobsite visits, and industry networking\nBuild and grow a book of business by developing long-term, trust-based relationships with customers and key decision-makers\nServe as a consultative partner to customers - understanding their projects, timelines, and material needs to provide proactive solutions\nCollaborate with inside sales, counter staff, and vendor partners to ensure seamless quoting, order fulfillment, and delivery\nTrack bid opportunities and stay ahead of upcoming commercial projects in the territory\nRepresent the company at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to expand visibility and network\nWhat We're Looking For\nProven outside sales experience, ideally in electrical, construction materials, or industrial distribution\nExisting relationships with electrical contractors or GCs in the commercial construction space a strong plus\nSelf-motivated with a hunter's mentality - comfortable prospecting and generating your own leads\nStrong relationship-building and communication skills, with a long-term, customer-first approach\nAbility to read blueprints/specs and understand commercial electrical products a plus\nValid driver's license and reliable transportation\nThis is an opportunity for someone who wants to build something - a territory, a customer base, and a career - with the backing of an established distributor and the autonomy to run your own book of business.\nWhat We Offer:\nWe offer a competitive benefits package.
