Join us and be a part of a company that’s making waves and empowering its people to do extraordinary things every single day!\nAbout the Role\nIn this role you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints/electrical drawings and using manufacturer software to produce quotes for customers.\nWhat You'll Do:\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following:\nResponsible for estimating all commercial/industrial switchgear projects. \nMust be proficient in reading blueprints and working with electronic bid management software to produce quotes. \nMust be highly organized and efficient to handle multiple projects in the bid stage and help manage projects after sale is made. \nUnderstands the importance of deadlines and must organize bid schedule based on complexity and project due dates. \nWorks well with switchgear project team, outside sales team and inside sales team in coordinating bids and managing projects. \nAccountability for timely completion and profitability of projects. \nManages and coordinates with all parties involved in the order, both internal and external. \nManages and maintains vendor and customer relationships. \nProvides customer service that separates Turtle & Hughes from our competition in the market place. \nFollows established standards and procedures for project reporting, communication, and documentation. \nKeeps detailed records on pricing quotes, change orders and all correspondence both internally and externally. \nWho We Are Looking For\n5+ years of experience in the electrical business, must understand switchgear.\nHighly desirable to have experience working directly with electrical contractors. \nKnowledge of project management techniques and tools. \nProven experience in people management. \nProven experience in risk management. \nMust be highly organized, and extremely well versed in establishing customer relationships.\nComputer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe\nWhat We Offer\nWe offer a competitive benefits package that includes:\n401(k) plan\nHealth insurance\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nLife insurance\nPaid holidays\nVacation\nEmployee negotiated discounts\nWho We Are\nFounded in 1923, Turtle is a fourth-generation, family-owned, and three-generation women-owned business, and one of the nation’s largest independent electrical and industrial distributors.
