You will connect client needs, sales strategy, and delivery capabilities to design practical, profitable managed services solutions across infrastructure, cloud, networking, endpoints, identity, and security.\nThis is a consultative pre-sales role-not a quota-carrying sales position or a delivery architecture role. You will lead discovery, shape the solution, communicate its value to technical and executive stakeholders, guide it through procurement, and ensure a smooth handoff to delivery.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign Solutions That Work\nLead discovery and current-state assessments across infrastructure, network, cloud, endpoint, identity, and security.\nDesign managed services solutions spanning NOC/SOC coverage, Microsoft 365 and Azure operations, endpoint and server management, networking, backup and disaster recovery, and security operations.\nRight-size scope to align client risk tolerance with delivery economics.\nIdentify project work needed before or alongside a managed services engagement.\nOwn the Technical Sales Story\nPartner with Account Executives from qualification through close and own the technical narrative.\nBuild compelling business cases using TCO, cost-to-serve, risk reduction, and outcome-focused messaging.\nLead executive presentations and whiteboard sessions, address objections, and set realistic expectations.\nSupport account growth through roadmaps, technology business reviews, and expansion opportunities.\nScope, Propose, and Transition\nOwn technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, security questionnaires, and compliance requests.\nDefine scope, assumptions, exclusions, and service levels that support accurate pricing and clean SOWs.\nPartner with practice leaders and finance to validate delivery feasibility and margin.\nLead the transition from sale to delivery with clear documentation of assumptions, dependencies, and expectations.\nShare field insights, improve reusable solution content, and mentor emerging architects.\nWhat You Bring\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or security, including 3+ years in pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting.\nDirect managed services experience, including service catalogs, SLAs, per-user or per-device pricing, and cost-to-serve considerations.\nHands-on depth in most of the following: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, virtualization, LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, firewalls, network security, endpoint management such as Intune, backup and disaster recovery, and EDR/MDR or SIEM platforms.\nAbility to lead credible conversations with engineers, IT leaders, and executives.\nStrong writing skills across proposals, architecture documents, and executive summaries.\nAbility to travel regularly for in-person client engagement throughout the territory.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with an MSP, MSSP, VAR, or systems integrator.\nKnowledge of AV, unified communications, or collaboration technologies.\nExperience in manufacturing, healthcare, or insurance.\nExposure to CMMC, HIPAA, PCI DSS, or NIST CSF.\nRelevant Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, CISSP, TOGAF, or similar certifications.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact\nYour success will be reflected in managed services bookings, technical win rates, accurate and profitable scoping, high-quality proposal responses, and strong feedback from clients and account teams.\nReady to Shape What’s Next?\nIf you combine broad technical expertise with business judgment, executive presence, and a talent for turning complexity into clear outcomes, we’d like to hear from you.
