In this role, you will help keep our customer-facing security technologies reliable, secure, and ready to scale-while continuing to expand your engineering and cybersecurity expertise.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAdminister, monitor, maintain, and support customer-facing security platforms and operational technologies.\nHandle Tier 3 escalations by analyzing logs, configurations, connectivity, integrations, and system behavior to identify root causes and restore service.\nIndependently resolve technical issues within established procedures and escalate architectural, unfamiliar, or business-critical matters appropriately.\nAssist with planning and testing platform upgrades, patches, and releases while executing and validating approved production changes and scheduled maintenance.\nSupport new-client onboarding by configuring and validating platform components, agents, policies, connectivity, and integrations.\nIdentify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, efficiency, and supportability through better processes, scripts, tools, and automation.\nAssist with investigating and resolving platform outages and service-impacting incidents, working with internal teams and vendors to restore service.\nMaintain accurate runbooks, technical procedures, troubleshooting notes, standards, and platform documentation.\nCollaborate with the SOC, Service Desk, Client Experience Managers, IT Operations, vendors, senior engineers, and architects.\nApply a security-first mindset and follow change management, access control, and operational governance requirements.\nWhat You Bring\n 3+ years of professional experience in IT, cybersecurity, systems administration, platform engineering, technical support, or a related discipline.\nExperience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise technology environments beyond traditional Tier 1 or Tier 2 responsibilities.\nStrong Windows knowledge and a solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing, and network troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, endpoint security, identity, access controls, and security best practices.\nA methodical, analytical approach to complex technical problems.\nThe ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment about when to seek guidance.\nStrong attention to detail when making production changes or performing platform maintenance.\nClear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.\nA commitment to continuous learning, accountability, and developing deeper ownership of assigned technologies.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in an MSSP, MSP, cybersecurity organization, or enterprise technology environment\nExperience with EDR/XDR, SIEM, RMM, vulnerability management, email security, backup, or disaster recovery platforms\nKnowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and cloud or hybrid environments\nExperience with PowerShell, automation, APIs, platform integrations, or enterprise monitoring tools\nAn associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience is accepted\nRelevant Microsoft, CompTIA Network+, Security+, CySA+, or vendor-specific certifications\nWhy This Role Matters\nYou will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, security, and operational readiness of the technologies behind Tusker’s managed security services.
