But robots are a rounding error in our society: nearly nine out of ten American factories and warehouses don’t even have a single robot, and robots have yet to make their way into our homes or places of business.\nTutor Intelligence is changing that.\nTutor is a robotics research and deployment company, building generally capable robot hardware and artificial intelligence to enable robots to go where no robots have gone before. Sonny is a semi-humanoid robot with frontier dexterity approaching the human form. Cassie does back-breaking work, moving boxes, pallets, and bulk goods for businesses from family-owned manufacturers to some of the largest brands in the world. Tutor robots are manufactured at scale and operate as a network, combining the whole fleet’s learned experience to train ever more capable robot artificial intelligence.\nFounded at MIT and headquartered in Watertown, MA, our team is full stack: we design and manufacture robot hardware, train our own models, work directly with the smallest and largest end-customers, and maintain our fleet across the United States. We’re a team of researchers, engineers, technicians, operators, and sellers who love building things and solving hard problems.\nOur mission is grand: robots everywhere, for the common good, raising the standard of living across North America, and then the world.\n\nWhy Tutor?\nWhether you’re designing robots, closing deals, running deployments, or creating the processes that help us scale, your work doesn’t sit on a shelf. It shows up on real production floors, making physical work safer and more affordable.\nOur team of 160+ is driven by curiosity and a genuine love of building. Everyone here takes real ownership, learns fast, and holds a high bar while having each other’s backs. If you love hard problems and creating things that didn’t exist before, you’ll fit right in.\nResponsibilities\nDrive very early-stage exploratory sales and dealmaking processes, including outreach, framing, and follow-up.\nCoordinate with customers, partners, investors, vendors, and domain experts to move conversations and projects forward.\nGather technical input from engineering teams and translate it into clear external communication and realistic opportunity framing.\nMaintain momentum across multiple threads through structured communication, scheduling, and consistent follow-through.\nProduce a high volume of clear written communication, including emails, briefs, one-pagers, and meeting recaps.\nIdentify creative angles and approaches to advance new product concepts, partnerships, or commercial opportunities.\nSupport leadership on high-impact special projects that span commercial, product, and strategic domains.\nRequirements\n1-4 years in a fast-paced environment (consulting, VC, IB, startup, PM, strategy, or similar).\nTechnical background or comfort: engineering degree/minor, technical coursework, or experience working closely with technical teams.\nStrong client-facing instincts: able to sell, persuade, negotiate, and build relationships with external stakeholders.\nExceptionally organized, capable of managing many concurrent threads without losing track.\nExcellent written communication: concise, precise, high-volume email and message writing.\nCreative and entrepreneurial mindset; ability to ideate, frame opportunities, and navigate ambiguity.\nHigh ownership and reliability; comfortable taking vague ideas and structuring them into concrete next steps.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3564,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Robotics AI","Industrial Robotics","Robotic Software & Control Systems"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-31T19:54:09Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 3","filings_12m":3,"filings_prev_12m":1,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":137500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-29T16:27:21+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":11,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.378,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":338,"expected_fill_days":135,"reasons":["conf:3","velocity","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-11-02T06:13:15Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":160000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/tutor-intelligence-strategic-projects-associate-san-francisco-ca","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/tutor-intelligence-strategic-projects-associate-san-francisco-ca.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-02T16:39:58Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":23158,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-03T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":5788},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=5788"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Ftutor-intelligence-strategic-projects-associate-san-francisco-ca"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Ftutor-intelligence-strategic-projects-associate-san-francisco-ca"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Ftutor-intelligence-strategic-projects-associate-san-francisco-ca"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/tutor-intelligence-strategic-projects-associate-san-francisco-ca\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Ftutor-intelligence-strategic-projects-associate-san-francisco-ca"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3574604}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"tutorintelligence.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3574604},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people);
