At Tutor Perini you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile projects that impact your community.\nExtraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent\nDESCRIPTION:\nTutor Perini Corporation is looking for a Field Engineer to Provide technical engineering information to construction management and crafts to ensure heavy civil construction work complies with the engineered design, technical requirements, engineering standards, and codes. This includes performing tasks that include, but are not limited to:\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nRead and interpret Contract, Drawings, Specifications, Standards, and related technical documents in order to maintain the construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities.\nResearch and resolve drawing interpretations problems, conflicts, interferences, and the like.\nPrepares, updates and distributes work activity schedules/updates, and communicates across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times.\nManage the preparation of RFI’s and related Submittals.\nSupport planning and technical issues. Prepares construction work plan packages and coordinates pre-construction meetings while ensuring that all prerequisites to start construction activities are identified and completed.\nManage the effective utilization of technical expertise within the Project Management team.\nCoordinate Field Engineering activities with Construction Management team.\nMonitors and participates daily in field construction process. Provides layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements.\nAssists in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issue tracking and resolution. Provides accurate and factual assessments of project performance.\nCoordinates with subcontractors on advance material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables.\nField verify to ensure construction is completed in accordance with plans, specifications and contract.\nEnsure as-builts updated as required by contract.\nDaily documentation, pictures of work performed, and conversations held.\nMaintains a safe, clean and productive environment through enforcing procedures.\nMaintains project integrity and reputation through compliance with high standards of workplace safety and construction best practices.\nIdentifies and resolves changing site conditions or other impacts during planning of the work.\nReviews project plans and develops a construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities.\nPerform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.\n5 - 7 years of heavy civil construction experience.\nWorking knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, standards and procedures.\nExperience with Utility / Underground / Concrete Structures Construction preferred\nCommitment to safety and quality.
