Notable projects include the Southwest METRO Green Line Extension, I-74 Mississippi River Bridge, Saint Croix Crossing, Marquette Interchange, I-494 Airport to Highway 169 Design-Build, and the Southwest LRT Blue Line Extension.\nExtraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent\nDESCRIPTION:\nAs a Project Manager at Lunda Construction, you will have the opportunity to work on Railroad, Bridge, and Heavy Civil infrastructure project sites throughout the Upper Midwest. A successful Project Manager at Lunda will be involved in all areas of project management, including project planning of cost, time, field staffing, equipment, safety, and contract administration.\nGeneral Responsibilities and Duties\nLead role in project planning, budgeting, and managing resources.\n\nPerform project accounting functions including cost tracking, cost projections and minimizing financial risk on projects.\n\nEnsure that construction operations progress according to schedule and communicate schedule changes to appropriate parties.\n\nDevelop project work plans, convey plans to field staff, monitor implementation and adjust when necessary.\n\nCommunicate effectively with owners, crews, subcontractors, and vendors.\n\nCoordination of all parties involved with the projects, including the owner, architect, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors.\n\nMonitor and report the progress of the construction activities and hold progress meetings with clients and stake holders.\n\nEnsure construction operations are completed in accordance with fiscal control, quality, and safety standards.\n\nRegular visits to active projects sites.\n\nMaintain project document controls.\n\nParticipation in site safety audits and active role in development of site-specific safety plans.\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.\n\nAbility to travel throughout the Upper Midwest is required.\n\nFive (5) or more years of relevant project management experience in the Heavy Civil Field preferred.\n\nRailroad Bridge construction experience, including working directly with Railroad Company representatives preferred.\n\nAbility to work under pressure.\n\nEffective time management skills and logical decision-making ability.\n\nAbility to read and understand contract plans and specifications.\n\nMust have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.\n\nExcellent written and oral communication is necessary.\n\nAbility to collaborate with personnel at all levels, both internal and external customers.\n\nOUR MISSION\nWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.\nOUR VISION\nWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
