ON TRACK WITH BLACK\nDESCRIPTION:\nAs a Quality Control Manager at Black Construction, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Manage a variety of quality control engineering and inspection work related to a specific discipline, i.e., civil, structural, architectural finishes, mechanical, electrical low and medium installations of conductors and equipment, piping, welding, NDE and/or electric. You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, core values, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to: training, and mentoring employees; planning and directing corrective work; appraising performance.\nDevelop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.\nReview, comment upon and control design and product submittal process.\nPerform quality control inspections and witness tests to determine the acceptability of work.\nSchedule and coordinate QA inspectors with Owner’s Rep.\nAssist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents.\nAssist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.\nParticipate in internal/external quality control audits.\nAssist in reviewing purchase order documents to Ensure compliance with quality control requirements.\nInspect and inventory material shipments for compliance.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field or a related program from an accredited institution.\nMinimum Five (5) years of experience as a QC Manager.\nTen (10) or more years of combined experience as a QC Manager, Superintendent, Project Manager, Construction Manager or Project Engineer on similar size and type construction contracts which include the major trades that are part of this contract.\nMust be familiar with requirements of USACE EM385-1-1 and experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance and sustainability.\nThorough working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/quality control activities preferably with NAVFAC/ACOE or US Air Force.\nExperience managing quality control, quality assurance on commercial building and heavy civil projects. valued at $20M or more.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProven ability to work with multi-national ethnicities’ personnel.\nExperience on Federal or municipal projects is preferred.\nMust be able to work in the U.S. and its territories.\nOUR MISSION\nWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.\nOUR VISION\nWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
