In the progressive and booming construction market, we’re guided by safety, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.\nAcross New York State our notable projects include the Time Warner Building, Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Seven World Trade Center and Goldman Sachs' Lower Manhattan Headquarters.\nExtraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent\nDESCRIPTION:\nAs an Assistant Project Manager - JOC at WDF Inc., you will have the opportunity to:\nOversees bid packages for sub-contractor involvement and correctness\n\nNegotiates sub-contractor changes\n\nPlan, organize and staff key field positions through regional department heads\n\nNegotiates contract with Client/Owner, maintains positive relationships and resolves disputes\n\nDemonstrates complete understanding and awareness of the contract\n\nOversee procurement log and monitor progress of long lead items\n\nReview subcontractor PCO’s and prepare change order requests to Owner\n\nReview RFI and submittal logs with Project Engineers\n\nInitiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities\n\nMonitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget\n\nRepresent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategymeetings\n\nManage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client\n\nMonitors jobsite safety and takes appropriate action to address and correct deficiencies\n\nAssists in preparing the progress payment and obtaining approval\n\nDevelops cash flow projection with Project Controller and submits to Home Office and Owner (if required)\n\nApproves Time and Material rates\n\nMay perform other duties as assigned\n\n REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution\n\nFive (5) or more years of commercial construction experience on projects exceeding $50 million; experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC) is preferred\n\nThorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities\n\nScheduling knowledge of Primavera P-6 and Procore experience is preferred\n\nKnowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles\n\nAbility to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule\n\nAbility to implement leading-edge technologies such as Building Information Models (BIM)\n\nAdvanced skill level with MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Publisher).Intermediate knowledge of Prolog software\n\nKnowledge of CAD 2000 or CAD 3-D is desired\n\nDemonstrated leadership skills\n\nExcellent written and verbal skills\n\nOUR MISSION\nWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.\nOUR VISION\nWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
