Our corporate integrity, financial strength and outstanding record of performance makes us an attractive partner on large, sophisticated infrastructure projects.\nFrom coast to coast, notable projects include The Purple Line (D Line) Extensions in Los Angeles, SR 99 Viaduct replacement tunnel in Seattle, East Side Access projects and the Hudson Yards Platform in New York, Central Subway Third Street Light Rail in San Francisco, and multiple airport expansions and bridge projects.\nExtraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent\nDESCRIPTION:\nAs a Field Engineer - Structures/Steel at Tutor Perini Civil, reporting to Director, Structural Steel you will have the opportunity to:\nMeet daily with project crews to confirm all materials, equipment, and resources are readily available for the planned construction activities on the schedule\n\nCollects, coordinates, and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the project\n\nProvides technical input for project work plans and scheduling\n\nIdentifying risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule\n\nEvaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance\n\nNotifies team members and manager of any significant schedule changes and recommends solutions for management consideration\n\nProvides project quantity input to ensure project financials are accurately reported\n\nManages cost coding regarding employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities\n\nReviews and approves daily timecards, assists on-site Office Manager to resolve any pay discrepancies with crews\n\nReviews project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completes\n\nInitiates and manages appropriate permits, certificates, inspections, and other documentation regarding construction activities\n\nConducts required Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliance work environment for all construction personnel\n\nAttends weekly safety meetings with field team and project leadership; presents field analysis as needed\n\nAssists the development of design drawings and provides technical input, as needed\n\nCoordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent\n\nFive (5) years of experience as an Engineer\n\nHeavy field interface experience\n\nAbility to conduct meetings and present topics to a group\n\nAbility to read and understand drawings\n\nBasic knowledge and understanding of Procure (or equivalent), Blue Beam and HCSS\n\nProficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel)\n\nDemonstrated aptitude to understand engineering principles\n\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\n\nSupervisory experience preferred\n\nOUR MISSION\nWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.\nOUR VISION\nWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
