At Tutor Perini Civil you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile, projects that impact your community.\nExtraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent\nJob Description:\nThe Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of a large-scale AirTrain transportation project. The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Owners, Designers, and Trade Contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.\nSupport Project Managers and Superintendents in the execution of all project phases.\n\nCoordinate daily activities with owners, consultants, designers, subcontractors, and field personnel.\n\nManage project documentation, correspondence, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and technical reviews.\n\nAssist with cost tracking, change orders, budget management, and forecasting activities.\n\nCoordinate construction activities associated with station finishes, escalators and vertical transportation systems, terrazzo and curtain wall, architectural and structural interfaces\n\nReview and coordinate shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents.\n\nAssist field teams with resolving design conflicts, constructability issues, and sequencing challenges.\n\nMonitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to schedule milestones.\n\nSupport testing, inspections, commissioning, and turnover activities.\n\nMonitor construction progress against project schedules.\n\nAssist with short-term look-ahead planning and recovery schedules.\n\nIdentify potential schedule impacts and develop mitigation strategies.\n\nEnsure work complies with contract documents, project specifications, building codes, and owner standards.\n\nParticipate in quality-control inspections and deficiency tracking.\n\nVerify completion of punch list items and closeout requirements.\n\nSupport implementation of project-specific quality management plans.\n\nAssist in the implementation of project safety initiatives and corrective actions.\n\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural engineering, or similar.\n\nMinimum of seven (7) years of experience with a General Contractor.\n\nExperience on large-scale transportation, airport, rail, transit, heavy civil, or public infrastructure projects.\n\nDemonstrated experience coordinating: Station architectural finishes, Escalator installations, Terrazzo flooring systems, Curtain wall systems\n\nStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.\n\nExperience managing RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, and project documentation.\n\nAbility to coordinate multiple subcontractors and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.\n\nProficiency with MSW Office; familiar with Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6 Experience on airport people-mover, AirTrain, rail, transit, or transportation projects.\n\nKnowledge of Port Authority, transit agency, FAA, or public-sector construction requirements.\n\nExperience with BIM/VDC coordination processes.\n\nFamiliarity with commissioning and turnover procedures for transportation facilities.\n\nOSHA 30-Hour Certification.\n\nExcellent written and verbal skills.\n\nOUR MISSION\nWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.\nOUR VISION\nWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
