This includes, but is not limited to all planning, organizing, and controlling of coordination activities, establishment and maintenance of project schedules and post-project activities.\nDESCRIPTION:\nAs a Structural Steel Engineer at Tutor Perini, reporting to Structural Steel Manager you will have the opportunity to:\nParticipates in project safety programs, observations, and audits\n\nAssists Project Managers and Superintendents with project related tasks\n\nAssists in identifying and promoting changes to improve productivity and quality on the project\n\nEffectively communicates with Project Owner/Designer/Architect/Engineeringregarding project schedule, issues and activities occurring on the project\n\nDevelops RFI’s , work plans and submittals for the project\n\nTracks and reports quantities of work performed and understands associated costs of such\n\nDevelops time and material final pricing submittals\n\nAssists with CPM schedule development and maintenance\n\nMaintains as-built drawings with assistance from field staff\n\nPerforms project specific tasks assigned by higher level manager\n\nUnderstands and communicates contract scope to field staff\n\nPerforms other related duties as assigned\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\nB.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent from accredited institution\n\nMinimum of 8 years’ experience in structural steel erection, heavy civil construction, bridge, vertical construction, or other steel structures\n\nExperience actively interfacing with fabricators, subcontractors, & owners to resolve design issues, procurement issues, and constructability issues\n\nCoordination of contract drawings, design drawings, and shop drawings to facilitate an erectable final structure\n\nExperience actively interface with design engineers & construction engineers to develop thorough \"means & methods\" process\n\nAccurately realize \"to-date\" costs and project \"final\" costs thru completion\n\nProficiency with MS Office products (Word/Excel)\n\nExcellent written and verbal skills\n\nOUR MISSION\nWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.\nOUR VISION\nWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
