The team takes full ownership of platform reliability, quality, scalability, and cost.\nThis is a hands-on, infrastructure-focused role that combines Platform Engineering, DevOps, and CI/CD, with opportunities to contribute to platform architecture and technical decisions.\nYou will be responsible for:\nOwning the CI/CD and QA platforms of the department end to end, from hardware and infrastructure through CI runners, build and test environments up to developer experience.\nBeing accountable for the platforms' reliability, quality, scalability and cost.\nAnalysing how the CI fleet and the services around it are actually used, and turning the findings into data-driven capacity, sizing and performance decisions.\nImproving and automating the tools teams use to build, test and ship, and removing recurring sources of manual work such as flaky tests.\nContributing to the platform architecture together with engineering teams.\nMaintaining service health with monitoring and runbooks. Alerts are written into the existing company observability tenant.\nDeploying new services following best practices.\nSupporting developer requests and turning recurring ones into self-service.\nManaging incidents end-to-end: diagnosis, mitigation, post-mortems.\nDelivering infrastructure as code through merge-request reviews.\nWriting technical documentation for engineers across teams.\nWorking with AI agents: delegating tasks and reviewing their output.\nRequirements\nMust have:\nSenior-level infrastructure / SRE experience with ownership of production services.\nLinux systems administration on bare metal and VMs.\nKubernetes in production : running workloads and clusters, including upgrades and GitOps delivery.\nInfrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform / Terragrunt).\nProduction experience with GitLab CI and CI runners.\nPrometheus/VictoriaMetrics and Grafana, including PromQL.\nTechnical writing for engineering audiences.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAdvanced use of AI engineering assistants such as Claude and Codex.\nAdvanced written and spoken English.\nNice to have:\nSLO and burn-rate alerting design.\nMicroVM isolation (Kata Containers, Firecracker, gVisor).\nPublic Cloud experience, including cost optimisation.\nSelf-hosted monitoring systems under load.\nPython or Go for tooling.\nGitLab
