ELS provides security updates for software versions that are no longer maintained upstream. The delivery pipeline takes reported vulnerabilities through assessment, patching, building, testing, and package publication across supported ecosystems. Our team builds and operates the internal services, tools, and integrations that connect these stages and track work through to release. We automate repetitive tasks and help engineering teams diagnose and recover from pipeline failures.\nFor this role, it is critical that you have experience owning production systems end to end - from clarifying requirements directly with stakeholders to designing, implementing, deploying, and operating solutions. You will work across existing services and tools, improving reliability, simplifying workflows, and verifying results in production.\nKey Responsibilities:\nBuild pipelines that publish security advisories from vulnerability assessments and released fixes.\nAutomate vulnerability assessment across large inventories of packages, versions, and dependencies across ecosystems.\nIntegrate vulnerability discovery scanners, reconcile their findings, and connect results to assessment and patching workflows.\nBuild and operate Python services, command-line tools, and internal interfaces for engineers assessing vulnerabilities, tracking patches, and managing releases.\nWork directly with stakeholders to clarify requirements, agree priorities, and define how results will be verified.\nImprove build and deployment automation, monitor production systems, and troubleshoot failures across services, containers, and data stores.\nReview code and improve automated testing, security, and maintainability.\nUse AI coding agents in day-to-day development, reviewing and testing the code they produce.\nRequirements\nMust have\n5+ years of professional Python development, including building, testing, and maintaining production services.\nStrong Linux troubleshooting and production-debugging skills, including using logs, metrics, and profiling to identify and reduce CPU, memory, and I/O bottlenecks.\nExperience designing and integrating APIs and services, including handling failures, maintaining compatibility, and keeping data consistent across systems.\nExperience with asynchronous processing and event-driven systems, including message queues, retries, duplicate delivery, and recovery after interruptions.\nExperience with CI/CD, containers, and build or deployment automation, including safe rollouts and rollback procedures.\nStrong relational data-modelling and SQL skills, including query-plan analysis, indexing, transactions, and safe schema and data migrations on large datasets.\nAdvanced hands-on experience using coding agents for substantial engineering tasks: planning and delegating work, providing context and constraints, supervising execution, and independently reviewing, debugging, testing, and validating the results.\nNice to have\nExperience with Django, Django REST Framework, Celery, and RabbitMQ.\nExperience operating services on Kubernetes and AWS, with monitoring and diagnostics using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Sentry.\nExperience with software supply-chain or vulnerability-management systems, including package ecosystems, dependency graphs, version matching, and advisory formats such as OSV, VEX, or CSAF.\nBenefits\nWhat's in it for you?\nWork independently with a high level of ownership and autonomy.\nFully remote work with flexible working hours.\n24 paid vacation days, 10 national holidays, and unlimited sick leave.\nPrivate medical insurance compensation.\nCo-working and gym/sports reimbursement.\nEducation budget.\nOpportunity to receive a reward for innovative ideas that the company can patent.\nBy applying for this position, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy ( https://tuxcare.com/privacy-policies-hub/candidate-privacy-notice/), which provides detailed information on how we maintain and handle your data.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4660,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Flexible
