Our users are not primarily viewers. They are the roughly 100 engineers across TV4 who depend on us to make good engineering easier.\nWe are now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead teams in Engineering Platform at a time when both the platform and the way software is built are changing.\nBefore you apply\nTo be considered, you need to already have the right to work and reside in Sweden and be able to work office-first from Stockholm. We are not able to offer relocation or visa sponsorship for this role.\nWhat we are building\nEngineering Platform is currently organised around two areas:\nCloud Infrastructure and Internal Developer Platform. Our cloud platform is built around AWS, Kubernetes and infrastructure as code. We are moving more shared capabilities into the platform, with clearer abstractions and self-service, without taking ownership away from the teams running the software.\n\nAgentic Platform. AI-assisted development is already part of everyday engineering at TV4. We are now building an internal platform where agents can take on meaningful parts of the software development lifecycle: how they interact with our repositories, tools and systems, what context they need, how we evaluate their work and where human judgement is required.\n\nBoth areas are built as products. We work closely with the engineers who use them, decide what belongs in the platform and build capabilities that work across teams.\nThe structure is still taking shape. Part of this role is helping decide how it should evolve.\nWhat you will do\nYou will lead one or more teams within Engineering Platform. You will:\nBuild, coach and develop engineering teams, including senior engineers\n\nCreate clear direction, priorities and conditions for the teams to succeed\n\nWork with engineering teams across TV4 to understand where the platform creates friction, and decide what to build next\n\nBalance exploration with reliability, especially where agents interact with systems that have real permissions and production consequences\n\nAct as a technical sparring partner in architecture and platform decisions\n\nHelp shape how Engineering Platform is organised as the area develops\n\nYou will report to the Competence Lead for Engineering and work closely with the Area Lead for Core.\nAbout you\nYou have led engineering teams and built environments where people take ownership, grow and deliver together.\nYou have a strong technical foundation and are comfortable discussing architecture, infrastructure and trade-offs with experienced engineers. You don't need to be the person writing the most code, but you need enough technical depth to set direction, ask the right questions and earn the trust of a senior team.\nWe are looking for:\nExperience leading engineering teams with people responsibility\n\nA background close to platform, infrastructure or developer tooling\n\nExperience treating internal platforms as products, with engineers as users\n\nA genuine interest in how AI and agentic development are changing software engineering, ideally from using coding agents in your own work\n\nThe ability to create structure where it is missing, without detailed control\n\nExperience building teams over time, not only running existing ones\n\nClear communication and the ability to build trust with both engineers and leaders\n\nYou are comfortable in an area where much is possible and not everything is defined.\nThe challenge\nEngineering Platform serves two needs at the same time: a stable, self-service foundation for teams running production software, and a new platform where much is still being figured out. The first rewards predictability.
