Though we thank all applicants that apply for this role, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.\nPosition Overview:\nAs an Electrical Designer in our Burlington office, you will support the development and delivery of electrical design documentation for projects within the energy and infrastructure sectors. You will work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop accurate, practical, and code-compliant designs, drawings, layouts, and documentation. This role requires strong technical design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate electrical design work across all stages of project delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nElectrical Design & Documentation\nDevelop electrical design drawings, layouts, details, schematics, schedules, and related documentation for energy and infrastructure projects.\nPrepare and revise electrical drawings in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and established design practices.\nSupport the design of electrical distribution, power, lighting, grounding, controls, and related systems as applicable to project requirements.\nIncorporate engineering calculations, design criteria, equipment information, and technical specifications into design documents.\nReview drawings and design documents for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and consistency.\nInterpret engineering sketches, specifications, calculations, field information, and vendor documentation.\nMultidisciplinary CoordinationCoordinate electrical design work with civil, structural, mechanical, process, controls, and other project disciplines.\nParticipate in interdisciplinary design reviews and coordination meetings.\nIdentify and resolve design conflicts and interface issues.\nCoordinate electrical equipment layouts, cable routing, raceways, conduits, and other design interfaces as required.\nIncorporate comments from engineers, project managers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders into design deliverables.\nProject SupportSupport electrical engineering teams throughout the design and project delivery process.\nAssist with preparation of design packages, technical documentation, material take-offs, and other project deliverables.\nSupport field investigations, site surveys, construction activities, and as-built documentation as required.\nReview vendor drawings, equipment documentation, and contractor submittals for consistency with design requirements.\nAssist with responding to requests for information and resolving construction-related design questions.\nQuality & Technical DevelopmentFollow established design procedures, quality assurance and quality control processes, and project standards.\nMaintain accurate and organized design files and project documentation.\nApply applicable electrical codes, standards, and industry practices to design activities.\nIdentify opportunities to improve design efficiency, consistency, and quality.\nMaintain awareness of evolving electrical design practices, technologies, and industry standards.\nProvide guidance and technical support to less-experienced designers as appropriate.\nQualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience\nAssociate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Design, or a related technical discipline is preferred.\nIntermediate level: 4-9 years of relevant electrical design or drafting experience.\nExperience supporting projects within the energy, power, utilities, industrial, infrastructure, or related sectors is preferred.\nExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering and design teams is preferred.\nTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of electrical design principles, drafting practices, applicable codes, and industry standards.\nExperience developing electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, schedules, and technical documentation.\nAbility to interpret electrical engineering calculations, specifications, equipment documentation, and design criteria.\nFamiliarity with electrical design, drafting, modeling, and documentation software and tools.\nUnderstanding of electrical power distribution, grounding, lighting, controls, and related systems as applicable to project requirements.\nAbility to identify design conflicts and develop practical solutions in coordination with engineers and other disciplines.\nUnderstanding of construction methods and the practical application of electrical designs in the field.\n Professional SkillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality design deliverables.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.\nStrong problem-solving and coordination skills.\nAbility to receive direction, incorporate feedback, and take ownership of assigned work.\nWillingness to travel to project sites and client locations as required.\nIf you would like to apply for this position, respond directly to this ad for consideration.
