Our team is dedicated to providing clients with effective business and technical solutions through exceptional levels of service, innovation and flexibility.\nTWD is currently seeking an Junior/Intermediate Project Engineer/Manager in our Pittsburgh, PA office.\nPosition Overview:\nAs a Project Engineer/Manager in our Pittsburgh office, you will support and manage the execution of projects within the energy and infrastructure sectors, coordinating technical, commercial, schedule, and client requirements from project initiation through completion. Depending on experience level, you will contribute to or lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage project deliverables and resources, support client relationships, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality and business objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Management & Delivery\nSupport or manage projects from planning and initiation through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout, as applicable.\nDevelop and maintain project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.\nMonitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.\nCoordinate project deliverables to ensure they meet contractual requirements, technical standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.\nSupport or lead project status reporting, forecasting, and internal project reviews.\nCoordinate project change management, including scope changes, schedule impacts, and commercial considerations.\nTechnical & Engineering CoordinationCoordinate engineering activities across multidisciplinary project teams.\nWork with engineering disciplines to establish project requirements, priorities, interfaces, and deliverables.\nReview technical deliverables for alignment with project scope, applicable standards, client requirements, and quality expectations.\nSupport technical problem-solving and resolution of project issues.\nCoordinate with vendors, contractors, suppliers, and other third parties as required.\nMaintain an appropriate level of technical involvement based on project needs and individual experience.\nClient & Stakeholder ManagementDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, project stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.\nParticipate in client meetings, project reviews, presentations, and progress discussions.\nCommunicate project status, risks, opportunities, and technical or commercial issues clearly and proactively.\nSupport preparation of proposals, scopes of work, estimates, and other business development materials.\nHelp identify opportunities for additional services and support long-term client relationships.\nProject Controls & Commercial ManagementTrack project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and earned progress as applicable.\nSupport or manage project invoicing, cost tracking, and financial reporting.\nAssist with contract administration and compliance with project terms and conditions.\nMonitor project risks, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.\nMaintain accurate project records and documentation.\nQuality, Safety & Team LeadershipPromote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across project activities.\nFollow established project management, quality assurance, and risk management processes.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide direction and support to project personnel as appropriate to experience level.\nMentor and support junior team members as appropriate.\nParticipate in lessons-learned activities and contribute to improvements in project delivery practices.\nQualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.\nJunior level: Less than 3 years of relevant engineering, project engineering, project coordination, or project management experience.\nIntermediate level: 4-9 years of relevant engineering, project engineering, project coordination, or project management experience.\nExperience supporting or managing projects within the energy, power, utilities, industrial, infrastructure, or related sectors is preferred.\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or other relevant professional certification is preferred where applicable.\nProject & Technical SkillsUnderstanding of project management principles, engineering processes, project controls, and multidisciplinary project delivery.\nAbility to develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes, and deliverables.\nFamiliarity with project management, scheduling, document management, and discipline-specific engineering software and tools.\nAbility to review technical information, engineering documentation, specifications, and project requirements.\nUnderstanding of applicable industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.\n Professional SkillsStrong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with clients, technical teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.\nDemonstrated initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage changing priorities and work
