You will lead rapid research cycles to solve complex problems regarding contextual intelligence and large scale ML problems ensuring every interaction feels seamless and personalized.\nResponsibilities\nIn this role, you’ll:\nBuild out new functionality within a fast moving product seeing rapid adoption. \nTake a nebulous idea, design a rigorous experiment, and execute it within weeks.\nConduct deep-dive research into state-of-the-art LLM orchestration, retrieval strategies, and data-driven personalization.\nBuild ML systems that hold up at Twilio scale. \nRapidly acquire new technical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, high-delivery environment.\nProactively leverage and integrate the latest AI development stacks to bypass boilerplate engineering and focus on core differentiation.\nQualifications \nTwilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!\n*Required:\n10+ years applied ML/AI experience with a track record of owning technically ambitious systems end to end rather than contributing to someone else's design.\nComfort operating in a 0-to-1 setting with ambiguous requirements and a strong bias for action.\nProficiency in Python programming language.\nExperience building cloud-based services on AWS, GCP, or Azure, with high-volume data, streaming or real-time inference paths, and a range of data stores.\nDeep expertise in the design, architecture, and deployment of production-grade ML/AI systems, including LLM orchestration, embedding models, and vector stores.\nStrong fundamentals of statistical machine learning algorithms, transformer models, LLMs\nAbility to raise the technical bar of a team through mentorship, design review, and standards, without formal management authority.\nExperience in building cloud-based services using AWS, GCP, or Azure.\nStrong communication skills and highly effective collaborator who works well with teammates.\nDesired:\nPrior experience building autonomous agents that handle multi-turn conversations and maintain long-term context/consistency.\nStrong background in predictive modeling on user behavior, including experiment design and the causal or counterfactual methods needed when randomization is partial.\nPrior experience working in a globally distributed team.\nLocation\nThis role will be remote, and based in India - Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana State, Maharashtra and New Delhi.\nTravel \nWe prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other.
